this is a complex one requiring spcailist ingredients but i reckon its well worth it. you could obtain raspberry puree from frozen fruits or leftover or squishy raspberrys. i really like this one really zesty. During my spell in university doing my psychology degree i worked ina popular chain of cocktail bars in the uk called revolution. i kept all my training materials, and myu little laminated ingredient lists that i used to keep in my apron. i thought it was about time i updated them onto recipezaar. There are some revolution classics in this and also some that they dont do anymore at rev. I may be a bit vague on the floating parts of cocktails, i haven't made them in a while. This may be a good excuse to! the reason why i specify using a glass tumbler to mix the drink in is purely for logistics- creating one drinks worth at a time by measuring it out in the serving glass and serving it in the same glass. its how we used to do it a rev, if your prefer to do it in a cocktail shaker thats fine just beware not to out too much ice in.

Steps:
- half fill a 14 oz glass with ice and our over vodka, schapps and squeezed in lime juice and raspberry puree.
- if using tumbler put the larger half of the cocktail shaker on the top of the glass tumbler hold tight and shake until their is condensation on outside of the cocktail shaker.
- tap cocktail shaker gentle on a surface to release glass and pour from cocktail shaker back into tumbler.
- top up with soda water and garnish with whole lime.

- Gizzards: Price’s Chicken Coop. You can get great fried chicken at a lot of places, even at a certain gas station. Good gizzards are harder to find. Yes, “gizzard” sounds weird: Since chickens don’t have teeth, they have a muscle in their digestive tract where they grind up food, with the help of small rocks.
- Cheesecake: Dressler’s. How many times have you seen “Mom’s” on a restaurant menu? At Dressler’s (and all their other restaurants, including Fin & Fino, The Porter’s House and Dogwood Southern Table), the extra-fluffy, extra-tangy cheesecake actually is Mom’s: The recipe comes from owner Jon Dressler’s mother, Joan, who started out making them one at a time about 12 years ago.
- Cheese spread: Beef & Bottle (pictured at top). Before the assemble-your-own salad, before the pressed garlic toast, before the ribeye with the onion ring, you get a dish of this spread and a basket of crackers.
- She-crab soup: Eddie’s Place. It’s creamy and rich, with plenty of bits of sweet crab. Good to know: It’s been made by scratch by the same cook, Alberto Toussaint, for 19 years.
- Hush puppies with sweet tea butter: Haberdish. The pups are classic – crisp outside, fluffy inside, with bits of green onion. But it’s the rich sweet-tea butter that takes them to a whole new level.
- Chili cheeseburger with mustard and onion: Brooks’ Sandwich House. On a perfect afternoon (not too hot, not too cold), make your way through the line and then grab a spot at the wooden table out back.
- Orangeade: JJ’s Red Hots. Freshly squeezed orangeade has a history in Dilworth: At Wad’s Sundries, Sam Wadsworth’s little drugstore on East Boulevard from 1957 until 1995, the lunch counter was the place for a chili dog and a fresh orangeade.
- Salted caramel brownie: Amelie’s. The salted caramel layer is so thick and gooey, it’s easy to forget there’s a sugary/crisp layer of brownie under it.
- Milk bread: Kindred. OK, purists: It’s in Davidson, not Charlotte. But what’s a 30-minute drive among friends, when you know a pan of milk bread is waiting at the end?
- Fried squash: Gus’ Sir Beef. Founder Gus Bacogeorge died in 2010, but his fried-squash slogan lives on: Fresh My Farm. The restaurant is showing its age, but Bacogeorge’s fried squash is still the same.

- Hand-Poured Coffee at Not Just Coffee. The baristas here are clearly experts, as every cup of espresso is beautifully poured into stunning works of art inside your coffee cup.
- Fried Chicken at Price’s Chicken Coop. A Charlotte classic, Price’s is hands down the best fried chicken in town. Skip Bojangles for something truly unique to the Queen City.
- Cap’n Crunch Pancakes at Fahrenheit. Fahrenheit is one of the hottest new restaurants in the city, most likely because it is on the 21st floor of a downtown hotel, looking out over the entire Charlotte skyline.
