this is a complex one requiring spcailist ingredients but i reckon its well worth it. you could obtain raspberry puree from frozen fruits or leftover or squishy raspberrys. i really like this one really zesty. During my spell in university doing my psychology degree i worked ina popular chain of cocktail bars in the uk called revolution. i kept all my training materials, and myu little laminated ingredient lists that i used to keep in my apron. i thought it was about time i updated them onto recipezaar. There are some revolution classics in this and also some that they dont do anymore at rev. I may be a bit vague on the floating parts of cocktails, i haven't made them in a while. This may be a good excuse to! the reason why i specify using a glass tumbler to mix the drink in is purely for logistics- creating one drinks worth at a time by measuring it out in the serving glass and serving it in the same glass. its how we used to do it a rev, if your prefer to do it in a cocktail shaker thats fine just beware not to out too much ice in.

3 fluid ounces raspberry vodka
25 ml raspberry Schnapps (techinee)
3 fluid ounces raspberry puree
2 limes, squeezed
soda water, to top up
garnish with lime wedge

Steps:

  • half fill a 14 oz glass with ice and our over vodka, schapps and squeezed in lime juice and raspberry puree.
  • if using tumbler put the larger half of the cocktail shaker on the top of the glass tumbler hold tight and shake until their is condensation on outside of the cocktail shaker.
  • tap cocktail shaker gentle on a surface to release glass and pour from cocktail shaker back into tumbler.
  • top up with soda water and garnish with whole lime.

  • Cheesecake: Dressler’s. How many times have you seen “Mom’s” on a restaurant menu? At Dressler’s (and all their other restaurants, including Fin & Fino, The Porter’s House and Dogwood Southern Table), the extra-fluffy, extra-tangy cheesecake actually is Mom’s: The recipe comes from owner Jon Dressler’s mother, Joan, who started out making them one at a time about 12 years ago.
  • Cheese spread: Beef & Bottle (pictured at top). Before the assemble-your-own salad, before the pressed garlic toast, before the ribeye with the onion ring, you get a dish of this spread and a basket of crackers.
  • She-crab soup: Eddie’s Place. It’s creamy and rich, with plenty of bits of sweet crab. Good to know: It’s been made by scratch by the same cook, Alberto Toussaint, for 19 years.
