I live in Barcelona and was able to watch a bartender make sangria in a local sangria bar one night. I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as I do!

Number Of Ingredients 12

1 lemon, sliced
1 orange, sliced
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1 (1.5 fluid ounce) jigger vodka
1 (1.5 fluid ounce) jigger cointreau or triple sec
1 (1.5 fluid ounce) jigger gin
¼ cup orange soda
¼ cup lemon-lime soda
¾ cup pineapple juice
¾ cup orange juice
1 cup ice cubes
1 (750 milliliter) bottle dry red wine

Steps:

  • Place the lemon, orange, and brown sugar in a large pitcher. Pour in vodka, cointreau, gin, orange soda, lemon-lime soda, pineapple juice, and orange juice. Add ice cubes and pour in red wine; stir well until the sugar has dissolved.

Number Of Ingredients 11

750 ml dry red wine
1 pint club soda
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup orange juice
1 ounce cognac
2 lemons, washed and sliced
2 oranges, washed and sliced
2 cinnamon sticks
ice cube
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup sugar

Steps:

  • Make simple syrup by combining water and sugar in saucepan. Stir over low heat until sugar is dissolved. Cover pan and simmer 2 minutes. Remove from heat.
  • In large pitcher, mix together wine, club soda, juices, cognac, fruit slices and cinnamon sticks.
  • Stir in simple syrup.
  • Mix all together and chill.
  • Stir again, then serve in a clear glass pitcher over ice cubes.
  • Enjoy!
