- Beer Bread Directions: 1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. 2. Mix together the Flour, Salt and Baking Powder with a fork. 3. Add the Brown Sugar and stir together well. 4. Pour the Beer in the bowl with the dry ingredients and mix with a hand mixer until all ingredients are combined. 5. Spoon the Beer Bread batter into a greased loaf pan. 6. Pour the melted Butter right over the Beer Bread Dough. 7. Bake the Beer Bread for 45-55 minutes. You are looking for the Beer Bread to rise and have a nice golden brown color on the Beer Bread. 8. Let the Beer Bread cool in the pan for 5 minutes then transfer the Beer Bread to a cooling rack and let it cool another 5 minutes. ~ While the Beer Bread is cooling you can make the Cheddar Garlic Spread Cheddar Garlic Spread Directions: 1. In a medium mixing bowl, blend the Cream Cheese and Butter with a hand mixer until smooth. 2. Add the Garlic Powder and Honey. Mix together well. 3. Now add the Cheddar Cheese and mix for an additional 2 minutes to blend together all the flavors. 4. Scoop the Cheddar Garlic Spread into a serving bowl or individual ramekins. Enjoy! CHEDDAR BEER BREAD
I love beer. I love cheese. This combines both of my loves into a tasty quick bread. Use the type of beer you enjoy drinking. I have found heavier beers such as the lovely flavors that come out during Oktoberfest time make the best cheddar beer breads. I use extra sharp cheddar, but if you don't like it you can substitute normal cheddar for this recipe.

- Mix all ingredients together, mixing in beer last. Batter should be the consistency of Bisquick. Spoon into a well greased bread pan and bake at 350 degrees (f) for about 50 minutes or until a toothpick in the center comes out clean.
- Let bread rest in it's pan for about 10 minutes then let it cool on a rack for another 10 or so. If you can wait that long!

This is the easiest recipe for rustic bread I've ever seen. Luckily it is also the yummiest. Feel free to halve the recipe if you only want one loaf, but beware: it's so addictive you may wish you'd just baked both loaves.

- Mix water, yeast, and salt together in a large bowl until mixture becomes foamy, about 10 minutes. Stir flour into yeast mixture until well incorporated. The dough will be loose and look wet. Cover bowl loosely with a damp towel and let sit for about 5 hours.
- Shape dough into 2 loaves using damp hands. Place loaves on a cornmeal-dusted work surface and score the tops a few times with a sharp knife. Allow loaves to double in size, 30 to 60 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Place loaves on a baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven, spraying the surface of the dough occasionally with water, until golden brown, about 20 minutes.

This is a good bread from Aces, one of the cookbooks in the Best of Bridge series. It's very good with a hearty soup.

- Preheat oven to 350ºF.
- Combine all the ingredients (except the beer) until well mixed.
- Add beer a quarter at a time until all ingredients are blended.
- Spoon into a greased and floured 4x8 inch loaf pan and smooth down with fork.
- Bake for 1 hour.
- Remove from pan and cool on wire rack. Serve warm with soup or stew.
