25 miniature pretzel twists
25 pieces candy corn

Steps:

Heat oven to 225 degrees F.
Place pretzels on baking sheet.
top each pretzel with a rolo.
place in oven for about 5 minutes.
remove from oven and top with candy corn, pressing down slightly.
I have also topped with another pretzel to make a *sandwich*.

1 15.25 ounce box Devil's Food Cake Mix
2 eggs
⅓ cup vegetable oil
12 ounces Rolo's Caramels (individually wrapped)

Steps:

Mix cake mix, oil, and eggs.
Take a small ball of dough and form a ball around the rolo. (Only use enough dough to cover the Rolo and spread evenly around the cookie dough ball)
Place on greased cookie sheet and bake at 350 for 7-8 minutes.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar.

I got this recipe from my neighbour Bonnie who brought them to a cookie exchange. Needless to say they were a big hit with the kids (big and small). Having the Rolo in the center gives it a wonderful surprise when biting into it. Keep the Rolo's in the freezer until ready to use as it improves the texture of the cookie. One of the few cookies my DS likes. Prep time includes the 1 hour to chill dough.

Ingredients

1 cup butter or 1 cup margarine
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup cocoa
1 teaspoon baking soda
granulated sugar, for rolling cookies
40 Rolo chocolates

Steps:

In bowl, beat butter or margarine, 1 cup granulated sugar and brown sugar until light Beat in eggs and vanilla until batter is smooth.
In another bowl, combine flour, coca and baking soda.
Stir into sugar-egg mixture to form soft dough.
Chill dough in fridge at least 1 hour Place 1 tbsp of dough in palm of hand and press.
Put 1 Rolo candy into centre.
Bring up sides of dough to cover it completely.
Roll between palms to make a smooth ball.
Place remaining sugar on a plate and roll each ball in sugar.
Place on greased baking sheet and bake cookies in preheated 350° over for 10 minutes or until tops are cracked and firm.
Cool on rack about 10 minutes.

Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with a silicone mat or parchment paper and set aside.
Combine the cake mix, oil and eggs in a large bowl. Stir together until combined. Then chill the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes (this will make the dough easier to work with since it's a bit sticky).
Using a medium cookie scoop or spoon, scoop out the dough into your hands. Roll it into a loose ball shape, then add a Rolo candy in the middle. Wrap the dough around the candy, making sure the Rolo is covered completely. Then roll into a ball again and coat with powdered sugar. Place dough balls on baking sheet.
Bake for 9-11 minutes, or until the cookies are set. You don’t want them to brown. Allow to cool on the pan for a couple minutes and then transfer to a cooling rack.
