RICE KRISPIES ORNAMENTS
Make your very own RICE KRISPIE Ornaments for a Christmas stocking treat or just set out for holiday desserts. Each RICE KRISPIE Ornament is decorated with a liquorice rope and topped with colored frosting making each ornament unique.

Steps:
- Fold each licorice piece in half; push ends through marshmallow, leaving about 1-inch loop at top.
- Melt butter in large saucepan on low heat. Add remaining marshmallows; cook and stir until melted. Remove from heat. Add cereal; stir until evenly coated.
- Use buttered hands to shape 1/2 cup warm cereal mixture into ball around ends of each licorice loop to resemble ornament. Cool slightly. Decorate with remaining ingredients; cool completely.

THE ORIGINAL RICE KRISPIES TREATS SQUARES
This is the recipe for the original rice krispies treats squares...It never fails! Plus, it is a great way to use up a box of cereal! For best results, use fresh marshmallows. I have replaced the butter once with Mott's Healthy Baking butter or oil substitute (it was basically an unsweetened apple sauce) and they still turned out great!

Steps:
- Melt butter in a large saucepan over low heat.
- Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted.
- Remove from heat.
- (It would be perfect to be measuring out all of the cereal at this time, having it ready in a large bowl.).
- Working quickly, add rice krispies cereal, and stir until the cereal is well coated.
- Using a buttered spatula or waxed paper, press the mixture evenly into a greased 13 by 9 by 2 inch pan (or whatever pan you have on hand).
- When the treats are cooled, cut into squares.
- Serve, and enjoy!

Steps:
- Place a small lump of margarine into a paper towel and use to grease a 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan, then wipe the pan off with a dry paper towel. This will keep the bars from sticking to the pan when they are placed on it.
- Measure margarine into saucepan; melt over low heat. Add marshmallows and cook, stirring constantly, until marshmallows are melted and mixture is very syrupy. Remove from heat.
- Add Rice Krispies cereal; stir until well-coated.
- Spread warm mixture in the greased 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Using waxed paper or buttered spatula press firmly into an even layer. (I normally use a butter knife to do this; dipping the knife into a glass of water occasionally will keep the Rice Krispies from sticking to it as you shove them into the pan)
- Cut into squares when cool. (This is normally about 10 minutes after placing the mixture into the pan.)
- *Flavored marshmallows (usually the ones that are green, orange, etc.) may be used to change the taste of your Treats just enough that it will be noticeable.
- **For Christmas, consider using the red and green colored Rice Krispies that normally are sold around Christmas time, to give your bars that festive holiday appearance. :-).

- Microwave butter in large microwaveable bowl on HIGH 30 sec. or until melted. Add marshmallows; toss to coat. Microwave 1 min. or until marshmallows are completely melted and mixture is well blended, stirring after 30 sec. Stir in food coloring.
- Add cereal; mix well. Press into 4-cup ring mold sprayed with cooking spray; cool completely.
- Run knife around edges of mold to loosen wreath. Invert mold onto plate; tap lightly to release wreath. Decorate with remaining ingredients to resemble holly leaves and berries.

- Generously coat a bundt pan with nonstick spray and line with plastic wrap.
- Melt the butter in a large saucepan or Dutch oven over medium-low heat. Gradually add the marshmallows, stirring occasionally, until completely melted, 10-12 minutes. Add the vanilla, dark green food coloring, and light green food coloring and stir to incorporate. Remove the pot from the heat.
- Add the rice cereal, 1 cup (30 G) at a time, and stir until fully incorporated.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared bundt pan, pressing lightly to form the wreath mold. Let the mold set at room temperature for 1 hour, then refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Make the marshmallow topping: While the mold is chilling, cream together the butter and powdered sugar in a large bowl with an electric hand mixer until fluffy, about 1 minute. Fold in the marshmallow fluff, vanilla, and milk until very smooth. Transfer to a piping bag fitted with a small round tip.
- Turn the wreath out onto a platter and remove the plastic wrap. Pipe the marshmallow topping over the wreath, then dust with powdered sugar and decorate with the red candies.
- Slice and serve.
