  • Ovens. An oven is one of the critical pieces of equipment used in a restaurant kitchen (unless you run a raw food or sushi restaurant, of course). Let’s walk through a few oven options
  • Ranges and Ventilation. This is another part of the restaurant equipment list where your decision will depend on your style of cuisine. Induction: You can cook at lower temperatures with an induction range than you can with gas.
  • Food Processors. Slice, chop, grind, puree, grate, and dice – all with one piece of restaurant equipment. Here are the four most common types of food processors
  • Mixers. Mixers are another must-have piece of commercial restaurant equipment, especially if your menu is full of yummy baked treats. In this case, you’ll probably want to splurge on a standing floor mixer, which can hold 20 to 60 quarts of dough (unlike a countertop mixer, which can only hold up to 20 quarts).
  • Slicers. If you’re pumping out charcuterie boards like there’s no tomorrow, you’ll definitely want to invest in an electric slicer to save your staff some time.

  • Keep Clean. Cleanliness before and during handling food is critically important as harmful microorganisms are usually found in animals, soil, water and even in people.
  • Separate Raw and Cooked. Same as mentioned above, dangerous microorganisms can also be found in raw meat, poultry, seafood, and their juices. It is important to separate them from the cooked ones to also prevent them from getting foodborne diseases.
  • Cook Thoroughly. All dangerous microorganisms can be eliminated if food is cooked properly. According to studies, food must be cooked at a temperature of 70 degrees Celsius in order for it to be safe for consumption.
  • Keep Food at Safe Temperatures. According to research, food that is stored at room temperature can easily and quickly multiply. Temperatures should be held below 5 degrees Celsius or above 60 degrees Celsius to slow down or stop these dangerous microorganisms from growing.
  • Use Safe Water and Raw Materials. Even water and ice are also subject to contamination of deadly microorganisms and chemicals. These raw materials should also be washed, purified, and contained in a safe and clean container prior to use.
