RED LOBSTER® CHEDDAR BISCUITS

Red Lobster® Cheddar Biscuits image

I made these with baked potato soup and loved it. Great addition! I gave them to a friend and he said they tasted just like the ones at Red Lobster®. The recipe will yield more if made into smaller biscuits. They are best served fresh out of the oven.

CHEESY PULL-APART GARLIC BREAD

Cheesy Pull-Apart Garlic Bread image

Studded with melty cheese and herbs, this garlic bread couldn't be easier! I like to buy a crusty round loaf of bread right from the bakery section of my grocery store. Be careful not to cut all the way through the loaf-you don't want the cheese to ooze out the bottom and stick to the pan.

Provided by Kardea Brown

Categories     side-dish

Time 1h

Yield 4 to 6 servings

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 small round loaf sourdough bread (7 ounces)
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/3 cup chopped fresh parsley, plus for more garnish
1 teaspoon onion powder
Pinch kosher salt
5 cloves garlic, minced
4 ounces mozzarella, cut into 1/2-inch cubes

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Score the bread with 2-inch-deep cuts with a serrated knife into a 1-inch diamond pattern without slicing all the way through. Place on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
  • Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir in the parsley, onion powder, salt and garlic. Brush the butter mixture all over the bread and into the cut diamonds using a pastry brush. Insert the cheese cubes in the crevices of the bread.
  • Cover the bread with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake until the cheese is melted and bubbly, 8 to 10 more minutes. Sprinkle with more fresh parsley. Serve hot!

RED LOBSTER GARLIC CHEESE BISCUITS

Red Lobster Garlic Cheese Biscuits image

This is my version of Red Lobster's Cheddar Bay Biscuits. I think they have more flavor than the restaurant's. I won a recipe contest in our local newspaper with these biscuits. Everyone who tries them ALWAYS ask for the recipe.

Categories     Quick Breads

Time 26m

Yield 20 Biscuits, 20 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 9

2 cups self-rising flour
8 tablespoons Butter Flavor Crisco or 1/2 cup frozen butter, grated into flour mixture
1 1/2 cups grated cheddar cheese
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 1/4 cups milk
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
melted butter

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 450*.
  • Mix garlic salt, dry mustard and cayenne into flour. (I like to use a wire whisk).
  • Cut in Crisco or butter until mixture resembles cornmeal.
  • Fold in cheese.
  • Add milk and mix gently.
  • Drop by heaping tablespoonfuls onto buttered cookie sheet. (I like to use a mini ice cream scoop).
  • Brush tops with melted butter.
  • Bake for 12-14 minutes or until golden brown.
  • *Note~ I recently rolled and cut these biscuits out because I wanted a 'pretty' result for a party, they did not rise well and turned out to be hard flat discs.

RED LOBSTER CHEESE BISCUIT LOAF

Red Lobster Cheese Biscuit Loaf image

From Facebook, of all places. Full disclosure: I have not made this, but I thought there might be some interest here so I decided to post it. Let me know how it works out for you.

Provided by zeldaz51

Categories     Breads

Time 1h

Yield 1 loaf

Number Of Ingredients 11

3 cups flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
4 ounces cheddar cheese, cut into 1/4 inch cubes
1 1/4 cups milk
3/4 cup sour cream
3 tablespoons butter, melted
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 -2 teaspoon granulated garlic (optional)

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9×5 loaf pan with oil. In a bowl, whisk together the first 5 ingredients. (And optional garlic granules) Carefully stir in cheese cubes until covered in flour mixture, this will help prevent your cheese sinking to the bottom of your loaf of bread.
  • In a different bowl, whisk together the remaining ingredients. Fold the wet mixture into the flour and cheese mixture, stir until just combined, do not over stir. Spread the mixture into the loaf pan. Bake for 45-50 minutes. Let cool 10 minutes and then remove from pan. Allow to cool for one hour before slicing and serving.

BISQUICK CHEESE BREAD OR BISCUITS (LIKE RED LOBSTER!)

Bisquick Cheese Bread or Biscuits (Like Red Lobster!) image

This is such an easy bread to make just mix and bake, no need for any kneading, shape into one large or a few small loaves or drop the dough from a heaping tablespoonful onto baking sheet for biscuits --- to save time I prepare a couple of loaves early in the afternoon, shape and season them cover with plastic wrap and just keep refrigerated until ready to bake, I make this recipe with original brand Bisquick, so I cannot promise the same results if prepared with a clone --- these are at their best when served warm from the oven, so prepare them early refrigerate and pop into the oven just before dinner! :)

Provided by Kittencalrecipezazz

Categories     Breads

Time 40m

Yield 1 loaf

Number Of Ingredients 10

2 cups original Bisquick baking mix
3/4-1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
3 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
1/2-1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 cup water, plus
1 tablespoon water
3 tablespoons melted butter
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (or to taste)
1 teaspoon italian seasoning (or to taste)
1 teaspoon dried parsley (or to taste)

Steps:

  • Set oven to 400°F (convection bake if possible).
  • Grease a foil-lined baking sheet.
  • In a large bowl mix/toss together the baking mix with grated cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese and garlic powder.
  • Add in the water, and mix with hands until well combined.
  • Shape the dough into one oval-shaped loaf, or even better into smaller oval shaped balls, or drop heaping tablespoonfuls onto the baking sheet for biscuits.
  • Transfer to cookie/baking sheet.
  • Brush the tops and sides with melted butter; sprinkle with garlic powder, Italian seasoning and dried parsley.
  • At this point, let dough rest, covered loosely with plastic or a clean tea towel in the refrigerator for 20-25 minutes before baking.
  • Remove from fridge and bake for 25 minutes, or until brown in color (bake less time for smaller size balls or biscuits, the dough will spread when baked).
  • Remove from oven, cut in slices, serve warm.

  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a baking mat, set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, paprika and salt.
  • In a medium size mixing bowl whisk together the buttermilk and butter. Pour into the dry ingredients and mix until a soft dough forms, then fold in cheese (taking care not to over mix or you'll end up with tough biscuits).
  • Using a large cookie scoop (#20 or approximately 3.5 tbsp.), scoop the batter and place onto the prepared baking sheet (you can pat them just a little bit to slightly flatten the tops so that the little peaks don't brown). Place into the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes or until the tops begin to turn golden brown. Remove from the oven and allow to cool on the baking sheet.
