RECIPE: DOG FRIENDLY CAKE WITH BEEF

Steps:

• Preheat your oven to 350˚F.
• Mix the beef, egg, oats, carrots and peas in a bowl. Grease a loaf pan with coconut oil. Once thoroughly combined, place the beef mixture into the loaf pan. Bake the cake in the 350˚ oven for 35 minutes.
• While the cake is baking, mix water into the peanut butter until you get the desired consistency that you want for the frosting. Once the cake has cooled, frost it and use some peas and shredded carrots to decorate it.

• Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 6 cup ring mold.
• Combine the egg, peanut butter, oil, vanilla, and honey, if desired, in a large bowl; blend well. Stir in the carrots and mix thoroughly. Sift together the flour and baking soda and fold into the carrot mixture. Spoon cake batter into prepared pan.
• Bake in preheated oven for 40 minutes. Let cake cool in pan for 10 minutes; then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.

Steps:

• Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir ground beef in the hot skillet until browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes. Drain and discard grease.
• Place 6 cups water and brown rice into a stockpot. Add browned beef, bones, and rosemary; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low or low and let simmer, stirring occasionally to prevent burning, until rice is mushy, about 45 minutes. Add water if necessary to keep mixture a little thicker than a porridge-like consistency.
• Meanwhile, place carrots, spinach, and eggs with their shells into an electric blender. Blend until completely pureed and no eggshells are intact.
• Mix pumpkin and blended egg mixture in a bowl until combined. Remove meat mixture from heat and pour egg mixture into the pot to cook the eggs in hot contents, about 5 minutes. Let cool thoroughly before feeding to your dog, about 30 minutes.

• Pour batter into loaf pan.
• Bake 1 hour and 10 minutes.
• cool on wire rack 15 minutes.
• Ice with plain yogurt or cottage cheese.
• Store uneaten cake in refrigerator.
