1 (8 ounce) package sliced fresh mushrooms
1 small onion, diced
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 (8 ounce) package wide egg noodles
¼ cup all-purpose flour
1 (10.5 ounce) can beef consomme
½ cup white wine
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 cup sour cream

Steps:

  • Combine ground beef, mushrooms, onion, and garlic in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook and stir until beef is browned and mushrooms and onion are tender, about 7 minutes. Drain and discard grease from skillet.
  • Fill a large pot with lightly salted water and bring to a rolling boil. Stir in egg noodles and return to a boil. Cook noodles uncovered, stirring occasionally, until tender yet firm to the bite, about 6 minutes. Drain.
  • Stir flour into skillet with beef until beef is coated. Add consomme and wine; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low. Add mustard and Worcestershire sauce. Stir in sour cream and heat through, about 1 minute more. Serve over the cooked noodles.

  • Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the beef, season with salt and pepper and cook, breaking the beef into small pieces with a wooden spoon, until well browned, about 5 minutes. Transfer to a medium bowl, leaving behind any drippings, and reduce the heat to medium.
  • To the same skillet, add the mushrooms, season with salt and cook until golden brown, 8 to 10 minutes. Transfer the cooked mushrooms to the bowl with the beef. 1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder

1 packet (0.87 oz) brown gravy mix
1 cup cold water
1 can (10 oz) cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup sour cream
2 teaspoons dried parsley
1 bag (12 oz) wide egg noodles

Steps:

  • ** Fill a pot with water and start it boiling while you cook the ground beef mixture. That way once the meat is ready to simmer, the water is already boiling and you just have to add your egg noodles in.
  • In a skillet pan, over medium-high heat, cook and crumble the ground beef, onion, garlic powder, onion powder, salt & pepper until ground beef is no longer pink. Drain the excess grease/liquid.
  • Whisk together the contents of the gravy packet with the cold water until combined. Pour this into the ground beef.
  • Add the sour cream and cream of mushroom soup and stir everything together until combined.
  • Let the mixture simmer over medium or medium-low heat while the noodles cook (about 10 minutes).
  • Cook noodles according to package instructions. Remember to add about 1 teaspoon of salt to the boiling water so the noodles have flavor. When the noodles are done cooking, drain them but do not rinse them.
  • Add the noodles and dried parsley into the creamy ground beef mixture and stir together to combine.

  • Add Knob of butter and Olive Oil to a pan. Add onions and saute for 5 minutes until softened. Add garlic cloves and sage and cook until softened.
  • Add red wine and paprika and reduce slightly. Add frozen mushrooms now. Add white pepper and salt.

  • Add parsley, honey and black pepper
