QUAKER OATMEAL COOKIES • STRAIGHT FROM THE QUAKER OATS BOX!
The classic Quaker oatmeal cookies recipe from the old-fashioned oats box or canister, plus tips for making these cookies come out perfectly!

Steps:
- Heat oven to 350 F. In large bowl, beat butter and sugars on medium speed of electric mixer until creamy.
- Add eggs and vanilla; beat well.
- Add combined flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt; mix well.
- Add oats and raisins; mix well.
- Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheets; remove to wire rack. Cool completely. Store tightly covered. Makes about 4 dozen cookies.

- Beat together shortening, sugars, egg, water and vanilla until creamy.
- Add combined remaining ingredients; mix well.
- Add raisins, nuts or even chocolate chips at the end.
- Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes.

- Combine dry ingredients.
- Beat together shortening, sugars, egg, water and vanilla until creamy.
- Add combined dry ingredients; mix well.
- Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake 12-15 minutes.
- Remove to wire rack; cool completely.
- Store tightly covered.
- *OPTIONAL: Add 1 c of any combination: raisins, chopped nuts, semisweet chocolate or flaked coconut.
- **For larger cookies, drop by rounded tablespoonfuls, bake 12-14 minutes at 375 degrees.
