MAGIC WANDS FOR HALLOWEEN
Fantastically festive for Halloween, Harry Potter-themed parties, or your daughter's Princess birthday party! Use frosting and sprinkles of any color variety you prefer. Tons of fun to do with the kids and a great presentation!

Steps:
- Separate 1/2 cup frosting between 2 bowls. Add orange food coloring to 1 bowl; mix until blended.
- Line a medium glass container with waxed paper.
- Spread frosting over the top half of each pretzel rod. Roll in sprinkles until heavily covered. Place rods upright in the prepared container to harden and dry.

- In a microwave, melt chips; stir until smooth. Dip each pretzel rod halfway into melted chips; allow excess to drip off. Sprinkle coatings with candy stars and colored sugar. Place pretzels on waxed paper; let stand until dry. Store in an airtight container.

PRETZEL MAGIC WANDS - HALLOWEEN / BIRTHDAY FUN
Whether you need magic wands for a witch, a wizard or a fairy princess, you can adjust this recipe to suit your needs. These wands are fun & easy to make - get the kids in the kitchen......I can only get pretzel rods in the UK when it's around Christmas time so the rest of the year I use Toresini breadsticks which are the same size..

Steps:
- Cover the top 1/3 of each pretzel in a thin coat of either chocolate spread or honey . Cover that part completely with sprinkles or coloured sugar & also the glitter if you wish.
- (To make your own coloured sugar mix a tiny drop of food colouring of your choice into a few tbsp of granulated sugar & mix well until the colour is evenly distributed).
- Allow the wands to set for a minute or two before serving.
- You can store these ready made in an airtight container for a couple of days.
MEI FUN
This is a base Mei Fun recipe which you can add the protein of choice to and served with Asian condiments to be added as desired.

Steps:
- Soak mushroom is a bowl of cold water for 3 hours, or until softened. Drain and squeeze out excess liquid. Slice and set aside.
- Soak rice noodles in cold water for 2 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, and cornstarch. Set aside.
- Heat 2 teaspoons vegetable oil in a wok or similar on medium high heat. Add carrot and stir for a minute. Add cabbage and some salt, stirring and tossing until softened (but still al dente). Add bean sprouts and scallion and toss until well mixed and bean sprouts are just cooked. Remove to a bowl/plate and set aside.
- Return wok/pot to the medium high heat with 2 teaspoons vegetable oil. (Add protein of choice if so desired and stir fry until almost done.) Add mushrooms and stir for about a minute. Add the chicken broth, rice noodles, and pinch of salt. Stir until noodles are evenly moistened. (You won't see extra liquid though.).
- Turn off the flame and stir in the vegetables. Check and add salt to taste. (Rice noodles can be difficult to toss with vegetables because they clump together. Sometimes I use two sets of chopsticks to evenly distribute.).
- Cover with a lid and rest for 5 minutes. Serve with choice of condiments (vinegar, oyster sauce or sriracha or or sambal) for guests to add on their own. Store any left-overs in an airtight container in the fridge. It will last for a week. You can reheat in the microwave.

PRETZEL MAGIC BARS
I found this in the local paper. The original recipe did not have walnuts, but you can't have Magic Bars without walnuts, can you? Omit them if you are not a fan.

Steps:
- Mix graham cracker crumbs with melted butter and press in a sprayed 9"x 13" pan.
- Pour half the can of sweetened condensed milk over the crust.
- Layer your pretzels as close together as you like over the condensed milk/crust.
- Sprinkle caramels, chocolate chips, and coconut flakes over the pretzels.
- Add nuts if desired.
- Pour remaining half of sweetened condensed milk on top.
- Optional : Break up some extra pretzels to put on top, with a few extra chocolate chips so you can see all the colors above the condensed milk.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 20 - 30 minutes until lightly browned.
- Cool completely before cutting and serving.
