My husband's Great Grandma made this for him and his sibilings when they came to visit. Only five ingredients, simple and easy to make. Ground beef, corn, cream style corn, peas, and mac & cheese. A real kid pleaser and one of my husband's favorites. I couldn't find anything else like it on the Zaar.

2 lbs ground beef
2 (14 ounce) cans cream-style corn
1 (14 ounce) can whole corn
1 (15 ounce) can peas
2 (7 1/4 ounce) Kraft macaroni and cheese

Steps:

  • Brown ground beef and set aside and keep warm. Or brown while cooking mac & cheese.
  • Cook macaroni & cheese (I prefer Kraft brand)according to directions on box.
  • Add ground beef, cream style corn, drained whole corn, and drained peas to macaroni and cheese. And you're done!
  • If it's to dry for your taste just add some more milk.
  • Frozen corn and peas can be used if you prefer.

4 slices American cheese

Steps:

  • Cook the Egg Noodles in a sauce pan.
  • and drain until there is about 2 tablespoons of water left in pan.
  • Take the cooked noodles+water and transter them into a bowl, place the slices of American Cheese on the cooked noodles till all of the noodles are covered.
  • Place in microwave for 2-3 minutes.
  • Enjoy!

1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine
1 lb Little Smokies sausage
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed cream of celery soup or 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
1/3 cup milk
1 tablespoon minced parsley
4 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded (1 cup)

Steps:

1 cup broccoli, chopped
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1 cup water
2 1/2 cups milk
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can condensed cheddar cheese soup
1 cup cubed cooked ham
salt and pepper

Steps:

  • Cook macaroni according to package directions, drain and set aside.
  • Combine broccoli, onion, and water in saucepan.
  • Bring to a boil, cook 2 minutes; do not drain.
  • Stir in cooked macaroni, packet of cheese sauce,, milk, cheese soup, ham, salt, and pepper.
  • Return to a boil, stirring occasionally.
  • Ladle soup into 6 bowls.

1/3 cup finely chopped onion
3 1/2 cups cooked elbow macaroni
1 3/4 cups shredded low-fat cheddar cheese
2 teaspoons minced fresh parsley
1/2 cup fat-free evaporated milk
1 3/4 cups 2% fat cottage cheese
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper (fresh ground makes it really good)

Steps:

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, cover and microwave onion on high for 2 minutes or until tender; drain.
  • You could just caramelize the onions in a skillet on the stove top if you don't want to stink up the microwave.
  • Add the macaroni, cheddar cheese and parsley.
  • In a bowl mix the milk, cottage cheese, mustard, salt, and pepper.
  • Mix until it is well combined and somewhat smooth.
  • Stir into macaroni mixture.
  • Pour into a 1 1/2 quart casserole coated with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Bake, uncovered at 350°F for 20- 25 minutes or until lightly- browned.
  • Burnt cheese bits are good.

1 box Mac 'N Cheese
1 lb beef
1 small jar spaghetti sauce
1 cup mozzarella cheese

Steps:

  • Prepare Mac 'N Cheese according to directions on the box. While the macaroni is cooking, cook beef in a small skillet. Once beef is done add spaghetti sauce and mix.
  • Once the Mac 'N Cheese is fully prepared, place 1/2 the macaroni in bottom of 8x8 baking dish. Then add all of the meat and sauce over top. Then add the rest of the Mac 'N Cheese on top of that. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese on top of macaroni.
  • Bake in a 350 degrees F oven for about 20-30 minutes. Everything is fully cooked, so baking just helps it melt together.

1 (6 ounce) can tuna
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
1 cup frozen peas, defrosted
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
1 cup French-fried onions

Steps:

  • Cook Macaroni and Cheese according to box directions.
  • Stir in tuna, cream of mushroom soup, and frozen peas.
  • Transfer mixture to baking dish and top with shredded cheese and french fried onions.
  • Bake at 375 degrees until cheese is melted, and dish is heated through (approximately 15 minutes).

1/4 cup chile, minced

2 garlic cloves, minced

Steps:

  • Cook macaroni in water to al dente.

Steps:

  • In a large pot of boiling, salted water cook the pasta to al dente and drain.
  • Return to the pot and melt in the butter.

1 (1 lb) butternut squash
1/2 lb elbow macaroni
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1 small onion, chopped small
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon white pepper
1 tablespoon flour
1 cup whole milk
16 ounces cheddar cheese, cubed if in a brick (or any good melting cheese)

Steps:

  • Squash:.
  • Preheat oven to 400°F.
  • Cut squash in half, lengthwise and rub cut side with olive oil.
  • Place cut-side down on a baking sheet and roast for 60 - 75 minutes or until completely cooked and soft.
  • Scoop out flesh while still warm and break apart with a spoon.
  • Timing-wise, finish the squash roughly the same time the pasta and the sauce is cooked so that it's still warm.
  • NOTE: You can change the ratio of squash to macaroni if you want it to be more or less squashy-I think this ratio is ideal because is comes out like mac n' cheese but there is still a good amount of squash hiding in there --.
  • Cook macaroni in salted water.
  • Let drain well. Timing-wise, finish the pasta and the sauce about the same time.
  • Sauce:.
  • In a saucepan, melt the butter on MEDIUM heat until shimmery.
  • Stir in the onion as it's prepped, then the nutmeg and white pepper, cook until onions soften.
  • Stir in the flour and mix well.
  • A tablespoon at a time, add the milk, incorporating each tablespoon well before adding another. (If you add it all at once, or without working in each time, there's risk of ending up with a lumpy sauce).
  • Stirring often, let the sauce come almost to the boiling point, it will thicken slightly.
  • Add the cheese and let melt, adjusting temperature so that the sauce won't boil. (It's not a disaster if it does, since it's going into the casserole, but it'll look curdled).
  • COMBINE.
  • In a large bowl, break the squash apart, mashing it really, with a wooden spoon.
  • Stir in the hot, drained pasta and combine well, distributing the squash throughout. Stir in the sauce and combine well.
  • Transfer to a greased baking dish.
  • If you like, sprinkle the top with pimento or paprika.
  • If making ahead, let cool to room temperature, cover and refrigerate.
  • BAKE.
  • Return dish to room temperature.
  • Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes until hot and bubbly throughout.
  • To add color to the top, place under the broiler for 2 - 3 minutes, watching carefully so not to burn. When covered with foil, holds its temperature for a good 30 minutes.
