ANYONE USING POLYMER COATED 9MM BULLETS - 1911FORUM
I’ve been using Missouri Bullet’s for a few months with great success. They offer the Hi-Tec coating and I like them as well as or better than FMJ. For 9mm I use the 124gr coated round nose. In 45 I use 200gr coated round nose. My most accurate loads have come from HP38 and CFE for 9mm and HP38 and Bullseye for 45.

Use the same load data for our polymer coated bullets as is used for plain cast lead bullets. Most all our R&D on all our bullets was done with Hodgon HP-38, Hodgon Clays, IMR4227, HS6, Accurate #5,7,9. Those propellants work well. Cooler burning with a fast/medium burn rate is the best propellant to use.

Because of #3, we began offering heavy .30 caliber bullets in the 200-220gr range. If the speed is capped at 2,300fps, the heavier bullets offer more momentum during flight, and easily generate enough pressure in the chamber and bore to cycle the action on a semi-automatic gun when using standard load data for a jacketed bullet.

PC Ammo is coated, there is no metal contact with the bore, thus no lead fouling. PC Ammo is a polymer coated - no copper jacket.
