Pineapple pretzel fluff is a sweet dessert salad that will delight all sweet-tooth.

1/2 cup butter, melted
1 cup sugar, divided
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
1 can (20 ounces) unsweetened crushed pineapple, drained
1 carton (12 ounces) frozen whipped topping, thawed

Steps:

  • Combine 1/2 cup sugar, melted butter, and crushed pretzels. Stir, place in a 13 * 9 baking dish covered with parchment, press, bake for 7 minutes, then cool.
  • Whisk remaining sugar with cream cheese until creamy.
  • Add chopped drained pineapple, then whipped topping, and stir.
  • Break up the caramel pretzels, add most to the mixture, sprinkle the rest on top. Cool in the refrigerator for 1 hour and serve.

  • Preheat oven to 400°. Mix pretzels, melted butter and 1/2 cup sugar. Press into a 13x9-in. pan. Bake 7 minutes. Cool completely on a wire rack., Meanwhile, in a large bowl, beat cream cheese and remaining sugar until creamy. Fold in pineapple and whipped topping; refrigerate, covered, until serving., To serve, break pretzel mixture into small pieces. Stir into pineapple mixture.

No one seemed to remember it. I searched and searched my recipes until I finally found it. In the interest of never losing it again, I'm posting it here.

  • In a bowl, combine pretzels, butter and 1/2 cup sugar. Press into a 13 x 9 x 2 baking pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 7 minutes. Cool.
  • Meanwhile, in a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and remaining sugar until creamy. Fold in pineapple and remaining sugar until creamy. Fold in pineapple and whipped topping; chill until serving. Break pretzel mixture into small pieces; stir into pineapple mixture.

This is my MIL's salad...she got this at the RV park they stay at in Donna, TX. It's creamy, crunchy, sweet, slightly-salty ...and very light all rolled up into one dish...the first time she made this my SIL and MIL ate the whole bowl!!..it's addictive and often requested!

2 cups crushed pretzels
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 (20 ounce) can pineapple tidbits, drained
12 ounces Cool Whip
8 ounces cream cheese, softened

Steps:

  • Mix the crushed pretzels, butter and sugar together.
  • Grease 9x13 pan.
  • Place pretzel mixture in greased pan and bake for 10 minutes at 350°F.
  • Cool slightly and break pieces into chunks.
  • Beat cream cheese until well whipped and fluffy.
  • Add the Cool Whip; blend well.
  • Fold in the pineapple tidbits.
  • Chill- for about 1 hour.
  • About 1/2 hour before serving-- add pretzel pieces.
  • Best served same day, otherwise the pretzels will get soggy. For a large group, I'd suggest doubling the recipe.

3/4 cup melted butter
3 tablespoons sugar, plus
3/4 cup sugar
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
1 (8 ounce) container whipped topping
2 (3 ounce) packages strawberry gelatin
2 cups boiling water
2 (10 ounce) packages frozen strawberries
1 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple
whipped topping or whipped cream, to garnish

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400°.
  • For the crust, mix the pretzels, butter, and 3 tablespoons of sugar.
  • Press this mixture into a 9 by 13-inch pan and bake for 7 minutes.
  • Set aside and allow to cool.

Everyone in my family has something to bring, well this is my food to make and bring for the holidays.This is a very rich food but it is so good you can't get enough of it. I got this recipe from my Grandmother out in Florida who got it from a friend of hers while camping with there RV'S and had a pot luck dinner. I hope you enjoy it as much as my family does.

1 cup butter (melted) or 1 cup margarine (melted)
2/3 cup sugar
2 cups pretzels, crushed
2 (20 ounce) cans crushed pineapple
2 (8 ounce) cream cheese (softened)
1 cup sugar
2 (8 ounce) whipped cream

Steps:

  • You will need a large bowl because this makes alot.
  • Mix in a bowl 2/3 cups sugar, 2 cups of crushed pretzels and 2 sticks of melted butter. Lay on a cookie sheet. Bake for 5 minutes at 400 degrees. When cold crumble and set aside.
  • Mix: 2 (20oz) cans crushed pineapple (juice and all) with 2 (8oz) tubs of cream cheese (softened) and 1 cup of sugar. Fold in the 2 (8oz) whip cream.
  • Refrigerate until you are ready to serve (when put in the fridge it will stiffen up). When you are ready to serve mix in carmelized pretzels.

1 cup pretzel stick
1 whipped dessert topping mix
1 cup milk

  • In a small saucepan, heat cornstarch and pineapple (with its own juice) until thickened. Let cool.
