"This shake gives you one serving of vegetables, two servings of fruit, one serving of soy, one serving of ground flaxseed and one serving of whole grain (wheat bran plus wheat germ)-- plus one-third of your daily fiber. It's also delicious!" From the book "Natural Healing Guide 2002" put out by Prevention Magazine.

Number Of Ingredients 8

2 1/2 ounces soft tofu or 2 1/2 ounces silken tofu (about 1/3 cup)
6 baby carrots
3/4 cup fruit (fresh or frozen, strawberries, blueberries, whatever)
1 tablespoon wheat bran
1 tablespoon wheat germ
1 tablespoon ground flax seed
3/4 cup soymilk (you could use regular milk if you really prefer)
3/4 cup orange juice

Steps:

  • Blend the tofu, carrots, fruit, wheat bran, wheat germ, flax, soymilk and orange juice.
  • Process on low speed, then increase to high for 1-3 minutes or until fully blended.
