This sounded yummy so I asked Mommy to try this combination together. My uncle's girlfriend gave us a jar of homemade strawberry jam and that is what I used for this snack. Yummy! A Tasty Dish Original!

1/4 cup cottage cheese
1 tablespoon homemade strawberry jam
5 peanut butter chips

Steps:

  • Put the cottage cheese in a small bowl.
  • Top with the strawberry jam and peanut butter chips.
  • It's good!

This is a great high-protein snack I discovered while trying to get my peanut butter fix and integrating cottage cheese into my diet. Super as a pre- or post- workout snack, high in protein for vegetarians (lacto-ovo) or just anyone who wants to stay healthy! Yum!

1 tablespoon peanut butter
1/2 cup fat-free cottage cheese
1/4 cup dried fruit
1/4 cup almonds

Steps:

  • First mix peanut butter with cottage cheese in a small bowl. Stir until completely blended.
  • Top mixture off with dried fruit and nut mix. I usually use dried bananas, apricots and raisins with almonds but there are tons of combination. Be creative!
  • Optional: 1/2 scoop whey protein powder for extra protein. I recommend Iso-Whey vanilla.

1/4 cup Jif® Creamy Reduced Fat Peanut Spread
1 (12.25 oz.) jar Smucker's® Marshmallow Spoonable Ice Cream Topping
1/2 cup reduced-fat sour cream
Leaf lettuce
1 cup small curd cottage cheese with pineapple
Mixed sliced fruit such as kiwi, pineapple, strawberries and mandarin oranges

Steps:

  • MIX preserves, peanut spread, marshmallow topping and sour cream in a medium bowl, until well combined.
  • ARRANGE lettuce leaves on 2 salad plates. Top each plate with 1/2 cup cottage cheese. Garnish with fresh fruit and spoon nut-mallow dressing over all.

Yes- that does say "scrumptious" and "cottage cheese" together. I found this on 'The Cottage Cheese Page' and I'll admit, I was very doubtful at first. I made it and WOW! A very quick, super easy, low calorie snack!

1/2 cup nonfat cottage cheese (If you don't like the texture, you can blend it first)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon peanut butter
1 teaspoon Splenda sugar substitute
1 teaspoon cocoa powder

Steps:

  • Mix all of the ingredients in a bowl, and stir until well combined.
  • You can even toss it in the microwave for a few seconds if you prefer it to be warm.
  • Enjoy! (Add more peanut butter or Splenda to your liking.).

1 cup low fat cottage cheese
2 tablespoons peanut butter
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon or 1/4 teaspoon apple pie spice
1 -2 teaspoon skim milk
3 medium apples or 3 medium pears, cored and slic

Steps:

  • For dip, in blender container or food processor bowl place the cottage cheese, peanut butter, and cinnamon or apple pie spice.
  • Cover and blend or process until smooth.
  • If necessary, stir in enough milk to make dip of desired consistency.
  • Serve the dip immediately or cover and chill it for up to 24 hours.
  • Serve dip with the apple or pear slices. Makes 6 (2-tablespoon) servings.
