Peach Jalapeno Cheese Ball Food
HOT PEPPER PEACH PRESERVES CHEESE BALL
This is a deceptive cheese ball! On the outside it appears to be a fluffy white snow ball - but on the inside is a lovely combination of creamy cheese, sweet-but-spicy hot pepper peach preserves, pungent onion and firey jalapeno. The recipe is a staple on New Years Eve at my friend Annette G's house and comes from Robert Rothchild Farm gourmet foods. They make a mean Hot Pepper Peach Preserves! Estimated time includes chilling time.

Steps:
- Combine cream cheese, preserves, onion and jalapeno together until creamy.
- Chill for 1 hour.
- Roll into a ball and cover with Monterey Jack Cheese.
- Place on decorative plate and serve with assorted crackers.

- Line a large plate with paper towels and place 4 slices of bacon on top. Cover with additional paper towels. Microwave on high for 3-4 minutes, or until bacon is crispy. Remove from microwave and discard paper towels. Repeat process with additional paper towels and remaining slices of bacon.
- Place crispy bacon in a food processor and pulse briefly until roughly chopped. Transfer bacon crumbs to a large bowl, along with half the jalapeño pepper, and stir to combine. Set aside.
- Combine the remaining jalapeño pepper, cream cheese, Mexican cheese, smoked paprika, Mexican oregano, chipotle powder, and garlic powder in a large bowl. Season with salt and black pepper, to taste, and stir vigorously to combine.
- Shape the cheese mixture into a ball with your hands or wrap into plastic wrap and transfer to a serving plate. Place in the refrigerator to firm up a bit, approximately 5-10 minutes.

- In a bowl, add cream cheese, sharp cheddar, jalapeño, onion, hot sauce, salt, and garlic powder. Mash ingredients together until evenly incorporated. Add more hot sauce as desired.
- Form cheese mixture into a ball using plastic wrap or wax paper. Refrigerate for about 2 hours, or until firm.
- In a skillet over medium heat, add bread crumbs. Stir frequently until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
- Unwrap cheese ball and gently roll in bread crumbs until evenly coated. Serve with crackers and sliced vegetables. Or, refrigerate until ready to serve.
