A friend gave me this recipe and it has always been a pleaser. This is a very quick and easy dessert. It's a recipe friends and family ask me to make for gatherings.

1 (29 ounce) can sliced peaches in heavy syrup, undrained
1 (18.25 ounce) box yellow cake mix
¾ cup butter, sliced into pats, or more if needed

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with margarine.
  • Pour peaches and heavy syrup into the prepared baking dish. Spread cake mix evenly over peaches. Arrange butter pats in even rows on the cake mix.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until top of cake is golden brown, 35 to 40 minutes.

  • Heat oven to 350ºF.

1/2 cup melted butter
2 cups brown sugar
2 (16 ounce) bags frozen peaches (I used fresh)

Steps:

  • Spread the can of pineapple (not drained) on the bottom of a large cake pan.
  • Open 1 bag of peaches and pour over pineapple.
  • Open 1 bag cake mix and pour over peaches.
  • Open 2nd bag of peaches and pour over cake mix.
  • Srinkle brown sugar over mixture and then pour butter over mix.
  • Pop in 350° oven for 45 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425°F.
  • Empty the canned peaches into a 1 quart baking dish that has been sprayed with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Mix in the cinnamon and brown sugar; sprinkle with the Crumb Cake Mix and cut butter into 4 equal portions and place on top.
  • Cover and bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes; remove cover and continue to cook for an additional 10 minutes or until top is brown.

1/4 pound (1 stick) unsalted butter, at room temperature
1 1/2 cups sugar, divided
2 extra-large eggs, at room temperature
1 cup sour cream, at room temperature
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3 large, ripe peaches, peeled, pitted, and sliced
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9-inch square baking pan.
  • In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat the butter and 1 cup of the sugar for 3 to 5 minutes on medium-high speed, until light and fluffy. With the mixer on low, add the eggs, one at a time, then the sour cream and vanilla, and mix until the batter is smooth. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. With the mixer on low, slowly add the dry ingredients to the batter and mix just until combined. In a small bowl, combine the remaining 1/2 cup sugar and the cinnamon.
  • Spread half of the batter evenly in the pan. Top with half of the peaches, then sprinkle with two-thirds of the sugar mixture. Spread the remaining batter on top, arrange the remaining peaches on top, and sprinkle with the remaining sugar mixture and the pecans.
  • Bake the cake for 45 to 55 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Serve warm or at room temperature.
