- In an electric skillet or deep fryer, heat oil to 350°. Separate biscuits; press each to flatten slightly. Fry biscuits, a few at a time, until golden brown, 1 to 1-1/4 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels. , Cut a small hole in the tip of a pastry bag; insert a small pastry tip. Fill bag with jam. With a small knife, pierce a hole into the side of each doughnut; fill with jam., Toss with confectioners' sugar. Serve warm.

- 1. Pour oil about 1/2" deep in a cast iron skillet or any large skillet and heat on med-high heat for about 5 minutes. DO NOT LEAVE OIL UNATTENDED.
- 2. To test the oil, use handle of wooden spoon dipped in oil..if it bubbles around it, oil is hot enough. or I put a doughnut hole in it. It should sizzle and bubble around the edges and then you know its hot enough.
- 3. To prepare biscuits for frying : Take out of Pkg. and place on a baking sheet while the oil is heating up.
- 4. * If for the cut out donut ; use a lid from a water bottle and push through center to make a donut shape ; keep the donut holes and fry them also. Once fried : dip donut in butter then in the cinnamon & sugar mix.
- 5. CAREFULLY Place Donuts ( 2 - 3 @ a time )in oil and cook until golden brown and using clasps GENTLY flip over ; once golden brown on both sides remove and place on paper towels to absorb any left over oil.

- 8. **** For the pudding : Blend pudding and milk together with a electric mixer , blend Well ; Fold in the whipped cream and mix up completely.
- 9. Heat the frosting in the micro for about 30 sec. to melt it to a glaze consistency. Dip cream filled donuts in choc. and set on rack.

- Preheat oven to 375°.
- In a small bowl, combine apple pie filling and 1 teaspoon cinnamon and set aside.
- On a floured surface, roll out each biscuit to a 6" long oval.
- Spoon apple mixture into the center of each and fold the dough over top to bottom and pinch the edges to seal.
- At even intervals, cut three 1" long slits toward the center of each biscuit from the rounded edge.
- Arch the tops of the biscuits just enough to open the slits.
- In small bowl, combine granulated sugar and the remaining 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon.
- Sprinkle evenly over biscuits.
- Place on lightly greased baking sheets and bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
- Combine powdered sugar and milk and drizzle over the bear claws.
- Can be served warm or cooled completely.

- Prepare pudding by combining the dry pudding mix with milk. Whisk until smooth and refrigerate until ready to use.
- Pour oil into a deep stock pot at least 2-inches high from the bottom. Heat over medium heat (a #5 or #6 heat on a 10 level dial) until ready to fry. Open a tube of biscuits and fry 5 at a time, turning each piece of dough when golden brown, and removing the donuts when browned on each side. Place cooked donuts onto a cooling rack that has been placed inside a baking sheet to catch any oil drippings. I used a metal spatula to turn my donuts and remove them from the pot. Repeat with remaining biscuit dough.
- While donuts cool, heat heavy cream in the microwave for 30 seconds or until it simmers, but watch it to make sure it doesn't spill over. Pour hot cream over chocolate chips and stir until smooth. Set aside.
- Use a pastry bag with a coupler and #5 Wilton round tip. Fill the bag with pudding and twist the end of the bag shut. Using the tip, poke a hole in the side of a donut and squeeze the pudding into the center while zig-zagging the tip back and forth from side to side, creating a pocket to fill the pudding inside the donut. Stop squeezing when it starts spilling out. Repeat on the opposite end of the donut, to fill the inside thoroughly. You want the donut to feel heavy for it's size, so you know it's filled well enough.
