TOFFEE BROWNIES
A quick and easy twist on a brownie

Steps:
- Prepare the brownie mix according to package directions.
- Line a 13 by 9-inch cake pan with aluminum foil and spray with vegetable oil cooking spray. Spoon in half of the brownie batter and smooth with a spatula or the back of a spoon. Place the candy bars side by side on top of the batter. Cover with the remaining batter.
- Bake according to package directions. Let cool completely, then lift from the pan using the edges of the foil. This makes it easy to cut the brownies into squares. Makes about 24 large/48 small brownies.
PAULA DEEN'S PEANUT BUTTER BARS
This recipe I found on page 150 of paula's cook book entitled "Lady and Sons Savannah Country Cookbook" Then I added a frosting of my own. - 1. For the bars: Preheat oven to 350 Degrees, Grease and flour a 9x13 pan (I only had a 9x11 so I used that). Melt butter and peanut butter together over hot water. (I put it in a pan and on simmer it was fast and easy)
- 2. Pour into remaining ingredients and stir well. Pour into greased and floured pan and bake 25-30 minutes. (I did 35 as mine was in a smaller pan.) Cook and cut into squares.
- 3. NOTE: Besides the things I stated above at the 30 minute mark I took them out of the oven and topped with the frosting and returned it to the oven 5-10 minutes more. For the frosting just mix all together adding enough water to make a regular icing and frost the hot bars. The frosting will be thin and melty at this point. Return to oven 5-10 minutes until it bubbles or looks really hot and remove and cool. cut and serve
PEANUT BUTTER TOFFEE BARS
Peanut butter, chocolate, and toffee... With the Christmas season approaching, the smell of chocolate is in the air. I found this recipe in my "Disney - Family Fun" magazine.

- 1. Preheat oven to 350°. Line a 9- by 13-inch baking pan with foil so that the ends extend over the edges of the pan by at least 2 inches.
- 2. In the large bowl of an electric mixer, beat the butter, peanut butter, sugar, and egg yolk on medium-high speed until the mixture is smooth and creamy, about 2 minutes, scraping down the sides of the bowl if necessary. Add the flour, oats, and salt and beat the mixture on low until the ingredients are just blended, about 30 seconds.
- 3. Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan. Bake the crust until it is golden brown, 15 to 20 minutes (be careful not to overbake).
- 4. Remove the pan from the oven and scatter the chocolate chips evenly over the crust. Return the pan to the oven for 1 minute. Remove the pan again and, using a small spatula, spread the chocolate evenly over the crust. Sprinkle the toffee pieces over the chocolate, gently pressing them into place.
- 5. Set the pan on a wire rack to cool until the chocolate has set, about 2 hours. Using the edges of the foil, lift the dessert from the pan, then cut it into rectangles. Tips:For maximum freshness, store the bars in the refrigerator.
PAULA DEEN'S PECAN TOFFEE TASSIES

Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Unroll the piecrusts onto a lightly floured surface.
- Roll into 2 (15-inch) circles.
- Cut out 48 circles using a 1 3/4-inch fluted or round cookie cutter, re-rolling dough as needed.
- Place in 1 3/4-inch muffin pans, pressing on the bottoms and up the sides of each of the mini-muffin cups.
- Combine the melted butter, brown sugar, flour, and eggs in a large bowl, mixing well.
- Add the vanilla.
- Stir in the pecans and brickle chips.
- Spoon the pecan filling evenly into the pie shells.
- Bake for 25 minutes, or until filling is set and crust is lightly browned.
- Cool in pans on wire racks.

PAULA DEEN'S BANOFFEE PIE
I watched Paula Deen make this wonderful dessert and just had to post it. I read the other recipes and this is much easier to make. Enjoy!! I found the recipe on http://www.pauladeen.com.

- Mix graham cracker crumbs with softened butter and press mixture into 9" pie plate. Bake for 5-8 minutes at 350.
- To create toffee filling, caramelize the sweetened condensed milk. Pour the condensed milk into a 9x12x2 glass-baking dish. Cover with foil and place dish inside a larger poaching pan. Add water to poaching pan until half way up sides of baking dish. Bake at 300 for an hour and a half.
- Once both the crust and toffee filling are cooled, spread half of evenly inside crust. Slice the bananas and layer on top of filling. Pour remaining half of filling over bananas, spreading evenly. Whip the cream with the confectioners sugar and vanilla and spread on top of toffee filling and bananas.
