PAULA DEEN'S BANOFFEE PIE
I watched Paula Deen make this wonderful dessert and just had to post it. I read the other recipes and this is much easier to make. Enjoy!! I found the recipe on http://www.pauladeen.com.

Steps:
- Mix graham cracker crumbs with softened butter and press mixture into 9" pie plate. Bake for 5-8 minutes at 350.
- To create toffee filling, caramelize the sweetened condensed milk. Pour the condensed milk into a 9x12x2 glass-baking dish. Cover with foil and place dish inside a larger poaching pan. Add water to poaching pan until half way up sides of baking dish. Bake at 300 for an hour and a half.
- Once both the crust and toffee filling are cooled, spread half of evenly inside crust. Slice the bananas and layer on top of filling. Pour remaining half of filling over bananas, spreading evenly. Whip the cream with the confectioners sugar and vanilla and spread on top of toffee filling and bananas.
PAULA DEEN'S CHOCOLATE ALMOND PIE
Hubby and I watched Paula Deen make this yummy pie, and he just HAD to have some. It is well worth the effort.....and it's relatively quick and easy. Time to make includes time to allow chocolate to cool.

- Melt marshmallows and candy bars in milk in a double boiler.
- Remove from heat and allow to cool, and add vanilla.
- If using whipped cream, whip until set.
- Combine whipped cream/Cool Whip thoroughly, and pour into prepared crust and chill.
- Delicious with a dollop or whipped cream.

BANOFFEE PIE

- Put oven rack in middle position and preheat oven to 425°F.
- Pour condensed milk into pie plate and stir in a generous pinch of salt. Cover pie plate with foil and crimp foil tightly around rim. Put in a roasting pan, then add enough boiling-hot water to reach halfway up side of pie plate, making sure that foil is above water. Bake, refilling pan to halfway with water about every 40 minutes, until milk is thick and a deep golden caramel color, about 2 hours. Remove pie plate from water bath and transfer toffee to a bowl, then chill toffee, uncovered, until it is cold, about 1 hour.
- While toffee is chilling, clean pie plate and bake piecrust in it according to package instructions. Cool piecrust completely in pan on a rack, about 20 minutes.
- Spread toffee evenly in crust, and chill, uncovered, 15 minutes.
- Cut bananas into 1/4-inch-thick slices and pile over toffee.
- Beat cream with brown sugar in a clean bowl with an electric mixer until it just holds soft peaks, then mound over top of pie.
BANOFFEE PIE
This is a different version of Banana Cream Pie. The name comes from the bananas and toffee. I think you'll like this.

Steps:
- Place cans of condensed milk in lg. saucepan and cover with water 3/4's up the cans. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to simmer, cover, and simmer for 4 hours, replacing water as necessary.(Milk inside cans will turn to toffee). Remove from pan and allow to cool.
- Cut bananas in 1/2-inch slices and cover bottom of crusts.
- Spread cooled toffee over bananas.
- Add another layer of bananas.
- Whip heavy cream until it turns into whipped cream. Add vanilla extract, sugar & coffee crystals. Stir until well blended.
- Heap whipped cream mixture on top of bananas.
- Sprinkle grated chocolate on top of whipped cream.
- Put in refrigerator for 1-2 hours to chill.
- Enjoy!

- Preheat the oven to 375°.
- In a heavy skillet over medium heat, crumble the sausage with a fork.
- Sauté the sausage until completely cooked.
- Drain off the fat, remove the sausage, and set aside.
- Melt the butter in another skillet over medium heat.
- Sauté the onions in the butter until tender.
- Add the milk and heat until steam rises, but do not boil the milk.
- Cut the cream cheese into small pieces, add it to the onion mixture, and remove the pan from the heat.
- In a large bowl, beat the eggs, then add the cheddar, the onion mixture, the Worcestershire, salt, and pepper.
- Mix thoroughly and pour this into the pie crust.
- Top with cooked sausage, and bake for 30 minutes, or until set.
BANOFFEE PIE
This is a classic British dessert. It's so delicious and incredibly easy to assemble with no baking required!

- Place the digestive biscuits or graham crackers into a food processor and blend until you get a fine crumb. Pour in the butter and blend again to mix. Tip into a 9-inch pie dish and press down firmly to cover the base and sides of the dish. Chill for 30 minutes.
- Spread the dulce de leche into the chilled crust in an even layer. Cut the bananas into coins about ¼-inch thick and cover the dulce de leche with them.
- Place the heavy cream into a medium bowl and beat with a whisk until thickened. Spread over the sliced bananas. Use a peeler to peel shavings of dark chocolate over the whipped cream. Chill for at least an hour before serving. Keep covered in the fridge for up to 3 days.
