EASY PAN-SEARED CHICKEN BREASTS



Easy Pan-Seared Chicken Breasts image

Easy Pan-Seared Chicken is easily prepared in one frying pan or skillet with a crispy crust and tons of flavor from your own mix of Italian seasonings.

4 skinless chicken breasts
1/2 cup flour
1 tsp sea salt
2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
2-4 tsp of any mixed Italian seasonings (thyme, oregano, rosemary, red pepper flakes, and basil) ()
1 Tbsps olive oil
1 tsp butter

Steps:

  • Flatten or butterfly the chicken breasts using a couple of sheets of saran wrap and a heavy skillet or the side of a meat tenderizer and pat dry with kitchen paper towels.
  • Combine your dry ingredients with whichever dried Italian seasonings you have or want, we recommend oregano, basil, red pepper flakes, rosemary, and thyme.
  • Using your fingers or some tongs dredge the breasts through the dry flour mixture and shake to remove the excess, if you want to ensure total coverage you can add your dry mixture and breasts into a plastic bag and shake well to coat.
  • Heat your skillet over a medium-high heat for a couple of minutes and then add your olive oil to the hot skillet.
  • Add your dredged chicken to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes unturned to allow the crust to form, flip and again cook for 3-4 minutes until both sides have a beautiful golden brown crust on the outside.
  • Turn down the heat and add your knob of butter to the pan. Once melted baste the chicken breast with the juices for a minute on each side.
  • Remove chicken from the pan and serve with warm rice and lightly steamed vegetables.

1 pound chicken cutlets
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1/2 cup mushrooms
1/2 cup grape tomato
1/3 cup white wine

Steps:

  • First, season the chicken cutlets with salt and pepper
  • In a nonstick pan, place your oil on medium high heat ( I am using olive oil for grilling and sautéing)
  • Place the chicken cutlets in the pan and let the meat sear for about 3 to 5 minutes each side or until a light golden color. If you are using chicken with skin always place skin side down first
  • after browning, set chicken aside so that we can begin to make our sauce

2 plump chicken breasts, skin on
3 tablespoons olive oil, halved
Kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
6 sprigs fresh thyme
2 sprigs fresh rosemary
6 garlic cloves

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  • Heat a skillet over medium high heat. Drizzle the chicken breast with 1/2 of the oil, and then season the breast with a good crust of salt and pepper. Put chicken in the pan skin side down, then add the herbs, and garlic. When the skin has a nice golden color turn it over, and put in a preheated oven for 8 minutes or until juice runs clear.

  • Preheat the oven to 350° and allow to come to temperature. Place a large, oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat, and prepare the chicken.
  • Pat the chicken dry with a paper towel, and drizzle with 1 tablespoon of oil. Sprinkle over 1 tablespoon of TAK House Seasoning, and rub to adhere.
  • Add 2 tablespoons of oil to the heated pan, and allow to come to temperature. Add the chicken and sear for 3- 4 minutes, just until golden-brown. Flip the chicken and sear for 2-3 minutes more.
  • Transfer to the oven and bake for 25-27 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through. Serve and enjoy.
