OREO KRISPIES
This is the classic Krispie treat recipe on steroids with the addition of crushed OREO cookies. Thick, chewy and completely irresistible.

- In a large bowl, mix together the Krispie cereal, crushed Oreo cookies and one cup of mini marshmallows.
- In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
- Add the remaining 8 cups of mini marshmallows and salt and stir into the melted butter. Continue stirring over medium heat until the marshmallows are completely melted into the butter.
- Pour the melted butter and marshmallow mixture over the Krispie cereal mixture and gently stir with a rubber spatula until evenly combined.
- Spread the Oreo Krispie mixture into a 9-inch square pan and press gently with the spatula to flatten the top.
- Allow the Oreo Krispies to cool in the pan for about 30 minutes before slicing and serving.

PERFECT OREO RICE KRISPIE TREATS

- Butter the bottom and sides of a 9X13-inch pan. Set aside.
- In a large saucepan, melt the butter on low or medium-low heat and let it cook until the solids start to turn golden brown and it smells caramelly and fragrant (here's a browned butter how-to if you'd like a visual), 3-4 minutes.
- Add the marshmallows and cook on low, stirring constantly until mostly melted, a few small lumps here and there are ok. Add the vanilla and salt and stir to combine.
- Remove the pan from the heat and add the rice krispies and Oreos. Stir until evenly combined; scrape up the bottom of the pan really well to make sure to incorporate all the marshmallows.
- Scoop the mixture into the prepared pan and press the mixture into the pan with lightly greased hands (smashing them down too hard will result in firm rice krispie treats - so use a gentle hand if you want them chewy). Let cool before slicing into squares.

Steps:
- Mix crushed oreos and rice crispies.
- Melt butter and marshmellows in microwave (1 minute, stir, put back in for another 30 seconds).
- Pour butter marshmellows into oreos and rice crispies and mix. Once it cools a bit, it is easiest to do with your hands.
- Press into 8 x 10 pan. Let sit about 30 minutes before eating.
