This is a favorite recipe of my late mother-in-law's family, used for all celebrations.

Number Of Ingredients 8

4 ripe bananas
2 cups white sugar
3 cups water
1 (46 fluid ounce) can pineapple juice
2 (12 fluid ounce) cans frozen orange juice concentrate
1 (12 fluid ounce) can frozen lemonade concentrate
3 cups water
3 liters ginger ale

Steps:

  • In a blender, combine bananas, sugar and 3 cups water. Blend until smooth. Pour into a large bowl and stir in pineapple juice. Blend in orange juice concentrate, lemonade concentrate and 3 cups water. Divide into 3 plastic containers and freeze until solid.
  • Remove from freezer 3 to 4 hours before serving. Using one portion at a time, place slush in a punch bowl and pour in 1 liter of ginger ale for each.

Number Of Ingredients 9

4 cups sugar
2 cups water
1 can (46 ounces) pineapple juice
3 cups orange juice
3/4 cup lemon juice
1/2 cup orange juice concentrate
8 medium ripe bananas, mashed
2 bottles (2 liters each) cream soda
3 cans (12 ounces each) lemon-lime soda

Steps:

  • In a saucepan, bring sugar and water to a boil over medium heat; cool. Pour into a freezer container; add juices, orange juice concentrate and bananas. Cover and freeze. To serve, thaw mixture until slushy; stir in cream soda and lemon-lime soda.

This slushy tropical punch is refreshing and beautiful. Perfect for large gatherings, as it serves a small army!

Number Of Ingredients 7

6 cups water, divided
4 very ripe bananas
1 1/2 cups white sugar
6 cups (48 ounces) pineapple juice
2 12- ounce cans orange juice concentrate
1 12-ounce can lemonade concentrate (pink or yellow)
3 liters Sprite or ginger ale

Steps:

  • In the jar of a blender, combine 3 cups water, bananas, and sugar. Blend until smooth and set aside.
  • In a large bowl or pot, combine remaining water, pineapple juice, orange juice concentrate, and lemonade concentrate and mix well or blend with an immersion blender. Add banana mixture.
  • Divide the mixture evenly among 3 freezer-safe containers or gallon-sized Ziploc bags and freeze for several hours or overnight (at least). When ready to serve, place 1 container of banana mixture at a time into a drink bowl or jar and pour 1 liter of chilled ginger ale or Sprite over the banana mixture. Mix with a spoon (or immersion blender) and serve immediately. If desired, you can garnish with frozen berries.

1 ¾ cups white sugar
1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple
1 (20 ounce) package frozen strawberries, chopped
4 bananas, diced
5 cups ginger ale
25 9-ounce clear plastic cups

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, stir the orange juice concentrate and sugar together until the sugar has dissolved; gently stir in the pineapple, strawberries, and bananas until coated, then stir in the ginger ale. Ladle about 2/3 cup of the mixture into a plastic cup, and freeze; repeat with remaining fruit salad and cups. Remove from freezer about 1 hour before serving.

2 qt. (8 cups) prepared KOOL-AID Sugar Free Tropical Punch Flavor Low Calorie Drink, divided
1 pkg. (10 oz.) frozen unsweetened strawberries
2 ripe bananas
1 cup orange juice
1 cup pineapple juice
1 bottle (1 liter) diet ginger ale, chilled

Steps:

  • Place 1 cup of the prepared soft drink, strawberries, bananas, orange and pineapple juices in blender or food processor container; cover. Blend about 30 seconds or until smooth. Pour into 6-cup ring mold. Freeze 5 or 6 hours or overnight until firm.
  • Stir remaining prepared soft drink and ginger ale in large punch bowl. Dip frozen ring mold in warm water, just to rim, for about 20 seconds to loosen. Float ring in punch bowl.

Steps:

  • Mix pineapple juice, bananas, orange juice concentrate, and lemonade concentrate in a large bowl.

6 cups water
1 (12 ounce) can frozen orange juice concentrate
1 (6 ounce) can frozen lemonade concentrate

  • Heat sugar and water in a large saucepan over medium heat until sugar is dissolved.
  • Put sugar syrup in a large bowl along with the juices and bananas and mix together.
