from Chamomiletimes.com. The amazing thing about this sugar cookie is that it requires no chill time but is still easy to handle. Rose water is available in most stores catering to the middle eastern community.

MOM'S AMISH SUGAR COOKIES
My mom makes these cookies when I am home to visit. They are seriously the best thing ever! The trick to the recipe is the almond flavoring. It's very unique. These are not your ordinary sugar cookies.

OMI'S GERMAN SUGAR COOKIES
Very simple, very old recipe from my 99 year old German MIL. Delicate. i'm trying to think of how I could flavor this a bit--perhaps just a hint of mace? Or maybe I shouldn't mess with something simple and delectable.

BROWN SUGAR COOKIES (GERMAN)
I found this recipe at www.fooddownunder.com and made these cookies for my family's annual Oktoberfest 2008. They were a big hit. They turned out soft and moist and tasted like a spice cookie with a hint of orange flavor.
