OMAHA STEAKS TOP SIRLOIN
We bought steaks from Omaha Steaks and I'm using these to test some steak recipes. My husband said, you better add this to your recipe thingy because this was the best steak I've ever had! I used the seasoning from the recipe posted here. http://www.recipezaar.com/52366

Steps:
- Make sure meat is fully thawed and room temperature before cooking.
- Heat skillet to med-high (number 7 on my dial).
- Coat steaks with seasoning on both sides.
- Sear steaks on both sides for about 30 seconds each. Using tongs to turn.
- Lower heat slightly.
- Add olive oil to pan.
- Cook steaks 4 minutes on each side, pressing down as necessary.
- Remove from heat and let sit for 5 minutes.
- Serve.

Steps:
- Combine 1/2 cup flour with the salt and pepper and toss with beef cubes to coat thoroughly. Place in crock-pot. Add green onions and drained mushrooms. Combine with beef broth, Worcestershire sauce and tomato paste or ketchup. Pour over beef and vegetables; stir well. Cover and cook on LOW setting for 7 to 12 hours. One hour before serving, turn to HIGH setting. Make a smooth paste of red wine and 3 tablespoons flour; stir into crock-pot, mixing well. Cover and cook until thickened. Serve over hot buttered noodles. 8 to 10 servings (about 3 quarts).
