- Place meatballs in a 1-1/2-qt. slow cooker. In a small bowl, combine the sugar, cornstarch, vinegar and soy sauce; pour over meatballs. Add green pepper. Cover and cook on low for 4-1/2 hours or until pepper is crisp-tender., Stir in pineapple; cover and cook 30 minutes longer. Serve with rice if desired.

EASY CROCK POT SWEET AND SOUR MEATBALLS
I think this is a Mr. Food recipe but I saw it made on a news broadcast. It's awesome served with rice and oh so easy!! They used one of those new crock pot liners and so did I and it does make for super quick cleanup.

Steps:
- If using liner, place it in a slow cooker bowl, fitting it snugly against the bottom and sides of the bowl; pull top of liner over the bowl rim.
- Place all ingredients in the slow cooker; stir gently then cover with the lid.
- Cook on low setting for 7 to 8 hours, or on high setting for 4 to 5 hours, until done.
- Carefully remove the lid to allow steam to escape.
- Serve directly from the slow cooker over rice.

- Add all ingredients. Remove as much air as possible, seal & freeze laying flat.
- Thaw overnight in fridge (set bag into a bowl in case it leaks).

- To make the sauce: Put the onion, garlic, oil and butter in a heavy pan and cook over a low heat for 5 mins, stirring occasionally to soften but not brown the onion. Add the parsley and tomatoes and cook for about 15 mins, stirring occasionally.
- Meanwhile, to make the meatballs: Slit the skin on each sausage and pull out the meat, breaking each sausage into 6 rough pieces.
- Purée the sauce through a sieve into a jug, or use a stick blender, then add the vinegar, sugar, spice and seasoning.
- Fry the chunks of sausage meat for 5 mins in a frying pan (no oil needed). Drain off any excess fat. Pour the tomato sauce into the pan and cook, covered, for 10 minutes If the sauce becomes too thick, add a little water.
- Meanwhile, cook the pasta according to directions on the pack. Serve the meatballs in the sauce on the pasta. Sprinkle with more chopped parsley. Serve with salad and freshly grated Parmesan.

- Preheat oven to 375°. In a large bowl, combine the first 6 ingredients. Add beef; mix lightly but thoroughly. Shape into 1-1/2-in. balls. Place meatballs on a greased rack in a 15x10x1-in. baking pan. Bake until lightly browned, 15-20 minutes., In large bowl, combine tomato sauce, broth, chili sauce, brown sugar and vinegar. - Blend together beef, eggs, 1 t cornstarch, onion, pepper, nutmeg, salt, and garlic.
- Form into 1-inch balls.
- Heat oil in skillet; brown meatballs on all sides, or bake in oven until browned.
- In large saucepan add remaining cornstarch, soy sauce, vinegar, water, and brown sugar to pineapple juice.
- Cook until thickened; stir constantly.
- Add meatballs, fruit, and peppers.
- Cook 5 minutes or until fruit is well heated.
- For OAMC: make meatballs as directed and flash freeze. Transfer to a ziploc bag, label and put back into freezer. To serve prepare sauce as directed and add defrosted meatballs and heat through.
