Deliciously creamy chocolate peanut butter banana smoothie that seriously tastes like a Wendy's frosty! This healthy chocolate banana smoothie recipe is made with just five ingredients and is easy to customize with your favorite nutritional boosters. The perfect breakfast, snack or even dessert!

1 large frozen ripe banana
1-2 tablespoons cacao powder (or use unsweetened cocoa powder)
2 tablespoons creamy natural peanut butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ cup unsweetened almond milk (or milk of choice), plus more to thin as necessary

Steps:

  • In a large high-powered blender, add in all ingredients and blend on high for 1-2 minutes or until all ingredients are well combined. Start with 1 tablespoon of cacao powder, but feel free to add another if you like it extra chocolatey. If necessary, add in more almond milk to thin the smoothie. Makes 1 smoothie. Feel free to double the recipe to serve 2.

1 banana (reserve 1 inch angle slice for garnish)
1/4 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup sugar-free vanilla ice cream
2 tablespoons fat-free sugar-free chocolate syrup
1 cup low-fat milk
2 tablespoons Frangelico (optional) or 2 tablespoons Godiva original chocolate liqueur, Optional for drinkers (optional)
1 tablespoon prepared whipped cream
1/4 teaspoon peanut butter
4 -6 peanuts
chocolate syrup

Steps:

  • Place Shake ingredients in blender with 4 ice cubes and blend till silky smooth.
  • Prepare garnish:.
  • Spread peanut butter over end of banana and press nuts into it.
  • Slice part way through naked side.
  • Place on rim of glass by pushing the cut side on rim.
  • Pour shake into glass.
  • Top with cream and drizzle chocolate syrup.

I discovered 2 giant zucchini in my garden. I decided to turn this treasure into a challenge and made a whole meal in which each course or dish featured zucchini in some way. This delicious concoction was what I came up with for dessert. The kids raved about it and asked for seconds.

2 large ripe bananas, peeled and frozen
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
¼ cup chopped peanuts
½ cup sugar
1 cup half and half

Steps:

  • Blend the zucchini, bananas, cocoa powder, peanuts, sugar, and half and half in a food processor until smooth, thick, and creamy.
