1 cup ketchup
1 cup vegetable oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
½ cup white vinegar
½ teaspoon hot pepper sauce
1 tablespoon celery seed
¼ teaspoon liquid smoke flavoring
2 tablespoons minced fresh chives

Steps:

  • In a one quart jar, combine sugar, ketchup, oil, garlic, vinegar, hot sauce, celery seed, liquid smoke and chives. Cover and shake well. Refrigerate until serving.

1 cup white sugar
½ cup white vinegar
1 cup vegetable oil
½ cup lemon juice
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon paprika
1 ½ small onions, grated
2 cloves garlic, pressed
¼ cup crumbled blue cheese

Steps:

  • Add ketchup, sugar, vinegar, oil, lemon juice, salt, paprika, onions, garlic and blue cheese to a glass jar. Cover, shake well, and refrigerate. This will keep in the refrigerator for quite a while.

1 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
1/8 teaspoon granulated garlic or 1 teaspoon peeled garlic clove, juice
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
1/4 cup white wine vinegar
1 1/4 cups salad oil
1 tablespoon egg white, slightly beaten

Steps:

  • Mix salt, pepper, and garlic granules or juice. Stir in lemon juice and red and white vinegars. Add salad oil and slightly beaten egg white, and beat throughly. Store in covered jar in refrigerator. Shake or beat well before using.
  • **Tip**.
  • If a milder dressing is desired, add 1/4 to 1/3 cup more oil to this dressing.

  • Combine sugar, oil, ketchup, vinegar, onion, and Worcestershire sauce in a blender; puree until dressing is smooth. Transfer dressing to a resealable container.

fresh ground pepper

Steps:

  • Crumble blue cheese and let stand at room temperature until soft.
  • Then mix blue cheese and cottage cheese together in a blender or food processor until smooth.
  • Mix in remaining ingredients.
  • Store covered in refrierator.
  • If you prefer it thinner, or as a salad dressing stir in additional Clear French Dressing.

  • Whisk the tomato paste, sugar, onion, mustard, paprikas, salt, and celery seed in a medium bowl; season with pepper. Whisk in the vinegar and lemon juice. Add the oil in a slow, steady stream, whisking until emulsified. Alternatively, puree all ingredients except the oil in a blender.
