My Mom made these all the time,especially for Strawberry shortcake.

Number Of Ingredients 7

Ingredients

2 cup(s) siftedflour
4 teaspoon(s) baking powder
4 large tablespoons shortening
3/4 cup(s) milk
1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
FOR SHORTCAKES:ADD
1 1/2 teaspoon(s) sugar

Steps:

Mix like pie crust-roll about 1/2 to 3/4"thick. Bake 450 for 20 minutes,or until the are no longer gooey in the middle.
