1 cup soft butter
1 1/2 cups brown sugar, packed
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon water
1 (6 ounce) package mini chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Cream butter and sugar together.
  • Add remaining ingredients and mix well by hand.
  • Roll into bite-size balls.
  • Freeze until firm, about 45 minutes.
  • Store in a plastic zip-type bag in the freezer.
  • Let stand at room temperature 5 minutes before eating.

These no bake cookie dough bites were made for Valentine's Day, but once you know how to make this sweet treat, you can decorate them for any holiday or celebration!

4 ounces low-fat cream cheese
2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 ¼ cups flour (all-purpose)
1 cup white chocolate chips
½ teaspoon coconut oil

Steps:

  • Heat treat the flour by either spreading it on a baking sheet in a preheated oven at 350º for 5 minutes or or sticking it in the microwave in a glass bowl for on high for 60 seconds. Let it fully cool before using, and sift through it with a fork to make sure no clumps formed while heating.
  • Soften cream cheese in a microwave-safe bowl for 15 to 20 seconds on medium power until creamy.
  • Add maple syrup and vanilla and stir until creamy and smooth.
  • Add the flour in a little bit at a time and stir to incorporate.
  • Scoop evenly sized balls onto a parchment-lined sheet using a 4 cm cookie scooper.
  • Let the cookie dough bites fully set 15-20 min in the fridge or 30 mins at room temp.
  • Melt the white chocolate in 15 second increments in microwave until creamy.
  • If the chocolate does not seem thin enough to dip, add coconut oil and stir well.
  • Dip the cookie dough bites into the chocolate using a fork. Shake off any extra chocolate.
  • Add sprinkles and place dough bites back on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Let the bites dry before moving them.
  • Chill for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.

This cookie dough is perfect for doing so- it is low in salt, quick to whip up, and tastes absolutely delicious frozen. Homemade cookie dough is wonderful on top of all kinds of desserts, too. (When making cookie dough that is not being baked, leave out the eggs and substitute them with a little water if needed to avoid the chance of getting Salmonella.)

1 cup flour
2 tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt (can be left out or reduced to just a pinch)
1/2 cup margarine
6 tablespoons granulated sugar
6 tablespoons brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
water (add small amounts until the dough is proper consistency( about 1/8 cup at a time to avoid making it )

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients except for the water in a bowl. It helps if you cream the margarine separately and then add it to the bowl to avoid spending a long time trying to smooth out pieces of margarine. The mixture will be very crumbly and dry because the eggs were left out (to avoid salmonella issues when eating raw). Gradually begin adding small amounts of water until dough reaches desired consistency.
  • Store in the fridge or freezer (not at room temperature or it will quickly spoil because it contains uncooked margarine). Eat with a spoon or place on top of pies, ice cream cakes, cheesecake, homemade icecream, or frozen yogurt!
