Breakfast sausage that has a sweet taste. I made this up basing proportions on other sausage recipes I have seen. I like best the fast that no special spices like cure #1 or MSG are required. Enjoy

Ingredients

1 lb ground pork
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 garlic clove
1/2 teaspoon seasoned pepper
1 teaspoon onion flakes
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon liquid smoke
1/8 cup water
1/2 teaspoon paprika

Steps:

Mix all ingredients thourougly. Make patties to fry until fully cooked.

My great grandmother frequently served this super quick and simple dish. I often omit the onions for my family and use vegetarian sausage links for my portion.

Ingredients

8 links pork sausage
1 onion, chopped
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed tomato soup
1 ½ cups mashed potatoes

Steps:

Set a deep skillet over medium heat and coat with cooking spray. Add sausages and cook until browned. Remove from the pan and set aside. Add the onion to the skillet; cook and stir until tender. Pour in the tomato soup and bring to a simmer. Return the sausages to the skillet and simmer in the soup for about 30 minutes. Serve over mashed potatoes.
