This is punch is so extremely easy to make that a child could do it, yet it is so delicious. It is always served at our family gatherings, and my sisters, brother and I all had it served at our weddings.

1 (2 liter) bottle fruit punch, chilled
1 (64 fluid ounce) bottle orange juice, chilled
1 (2 liter) bottle ginger ale, chilled

Steps:

In a punch bowl, combine fruit punch and orange juice. Slowly pour ginger ale down the side of the bowl to retain carbonation.

These are similar to doughnuts but much tastier! They are usually made on Shrove Tuesday (Fat Tuesday).

Ingredients

2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
¼ cup warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
1 teaspoon white sugar
3 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups milk
3 eggs, beaten
¼ cup margarine, melted
1 cup white sugar
1 ½ teaspoons salt
4 cups all-purpose flour
2 quarts vegetable oil for frying

Steps:

Warm the milk in a small saucepan until it bubbles, then remove from heat. Let cool until lukewarm. In a small bowl, proof the yeast by adding the warm water to the yeast. Let stand 10 minutes.
In a large bowl mix together the teaspoon of sugar and 3 cups of the flour. Stir in milk until smooth. Add proofed yeast and mix well. Cover and let rise until doubled in size.
Stir in beaten eggs, melted butter or margarine, one cup of sugar, salt, and enough of the remaining flour to make a stiff dough. Cover and let rise for a second time until doubled.
Punch down dough and divide into 2 portions. On a lightly floured surface, roll out dough to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut dough with a biscuit cutter. Make 2 slits with a sharp knife in the middle of each doughnut. Cover and let rise a third time until doubled in size.
Deep fat fry in oil or lard for 3 to 4 minutes on each side until lightly browned. Rotate to ensure even cooking. Drain on brown paper bags. Toss in confectioners sugar while still warm.

A non alcoholic punch that was served and very much loved at family gatherings when I was a child; I still like this punch. It's cool and refreshing and pretty. Great for bridal/baby shower, luncheon, brunch, child party. Posted per request.

1/2 cup extra finely granulated sugar
1/2 cup lemon juice
1 cup orange juice
2 cups cranberry juice
1 pint raspberry sherbet (or rainbow)
1 (28 ounce) bottle ginger ale

Steps:

Combine sugar, lemon, orange and cranberry juice and pour into punchbowl.
Add sherbet and ginger ale.
Serve immediately.

6 medium ripe bananas
1 can (12 ounces) frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
3/4 cup thawed lemonade concentrate
3 cups warm water, divided
2 cups sugar, divided
1 can (46 ounces) pineapple juice, chilled
3 bottles (2 liters each) lemon-lime soda, chilled
Orange slices, optional

Steps:

In a blender, cover and process the bananas, orange juice and lemonade until smooth. Remove half of the mixture and set aside. Add 1-1/2 cups warm water and 1 cup sugar to blender; blend until smooth. , Place in a large freezer container. Repeat with remaining banana mixture, water and sugar; add to container. Cover and freeze until solid. , One hour before serving, remove punch base from freezer. Just before serving, place in a large punch bowl. Add pineapple juice and soda; stir until well blended. Garnish with orange slices if desired.

4 cups sugar
6 cups water
6 ripe bananas
1 (46 ounce) can pineapple juice
2 (12 ounce) cans frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed and undiluted
1 (12 ounce) can frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed and undiluted
2 (2 liter) bottles 7-Up soda

Steps:

Combine sugar and water in a saucepan; cook, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves.
Cool completely.
Puree bananas in an electric blender until smooth.
Combine bananas, dissolved sugar mixture, juices and lemonade in a large freezer container (a plastic 1-gallon milk carton works well).
To serve, thaw until slushy.
Pour into a punch bowl; gently stir in 7 UP.
Serve immediately.
