MY FAVORITE CHOCOLATE FROSTING GLAZE
My old Mennonite cookbook is on it's last legs, so I'm posting my favorite recipes before it falls apart completely. I love this chocolate frosting, it's meant for sheet cakes or brownies. Frost the cake right out of the oven - don't wait for the cake to cool!

CHOCOLATE GLAZE OR FROSTING
This is very quick to prepare and can be used immediately after making as a glaze to drizzle on your cake or dessert. You can let it sit a few minutes and it will thicken up into a delicious and creamy frosting. Or add a little more powdered sugar to thicken it even more. I have no idea of the number of servings because it would depend on what you were using it for. So I just stuck a number in because I had to put something there. But I would probably double it for a two layer cake. But for a glaze over a cake or dessert this would probably be plenty.

- Place your chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave for 30 seconds. Stir well. Return chocolate to microwave and heat for another 15 seconds and stir again. Continue heating chocolate for 15 seconds, stirring after each, until chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
- Allow chocolate to cool for at least 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally. You want chocolate to cool so that it is not hot to the touch, otherwise it will melt your butter and sugar and the frosting will not turn out.
- While the chocolate is cooling, place butter in a separate bowl and use a stand mixer or electric mixer to beat until creamy.
