Ingredients

4 cinnamon sticks (3 inches each)
4 whole cloves
2 bottles (750 ml each) merlot
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup orange juice
1/2 cup brandy
1 medium orange, thinly sliced
Optional: Orange wedges and cinnamon sticks

Steps:

Place cinnamon sticks and cloves on a double thickness of cheesecloth; bring up corners of cloth and tie with string to form a bag., In a 3-qt. slow cooker, combine the wine, sugar, orange juice, brandy and orange slices. Add spice bag. Cover and cook on high for 1 hour or until heated through. Discard spice bag and orange slices. Serve warm; if desired, garnish with orange wedges and additional cinnamon sticks.

3 ½ quarts water
1 (12 ounce) package cranberries
2 cups white sugar
2 oranges, juiced
2 lemons, juiced
12 whole cloves
2 cinnamon sticks

Steps:

In a large pot, combine water and cranberries. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 30 minutes. Add sugar, orange juice, lemon juice, cloves and cinnamon sticks. Cover, and steep for 1 hour.

2 quarts cranberry juice
2 oranges, zested
14 whole cloves
1 ½ cups dried cranberries
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 ⅓ cups honey
2 cinnamon sticks

Steps:

Pour cranberry juice into a slow cooker; set on high. To the juice add the zest from the oranges, cloves, cranberries, vanilla extract, honey and cinnamon sticks. Heat, stirring occasionally, until hot and steamy, about 20 minutes.

8 cups water
6 tea bags
1/4 cup sugar
1 can (12 ounces) frozen limeade concentrate, thawed
1 cup chilled cherry juice blend
Ice cubes
Lime wedges and pitted dark sweet cherries

Steps:

In a Dutch oven, bring water to a boil; remove from heat. Add tea bags; steep, covered, 10 minutes. Discard tea bags. Stir in sugar until dissolved; cool slightly. Transfer to a pitcher; cool completely., Add limeade concentrate and cherry juice to tea. Serve over ice with lime wedges and cherries.
