When I take this dish to potlucks during the holidays, people always ooh and aah. Feel free to top with whipped cream for added appeal. —Carol Mead, Los Alamos, New Mexico

CREAMY FRUIT MOLD
Because it can be made ahead, a gelatin salad like this one, brimming with fruit and nuts, is so convenient. This salad (another old standby from the cooking show I watched years ago) comes out of the mold easily and looks very attractive when served. -Shirley Leister, West Chester, Pennsylvania

MOM'S FRUIT SALAD WITH COOKED DRESSING
This is an adaptation of several slightly different recipes, but slightly different from the rest. My family LOVES it--and so does everyone else who's tasted it! This is also wonderful as a topping for belgian waffles.
