My mom's own recipe for baked chicken wings. One of my favorite dishes and relatively easy to make.

1 cup lemon juice
¼ cup soy sauce
¼ cup olive oil
2 tablespoons crushed garlic
1 tablespoon seasoned salt
½ tablespoon paprika
½ tablespoon ground turmeric
3 pounds chicken wings
1 pinch garlic salt, or to taste

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Mix lemon juice, soy sauce, olive oil, garlic, seasoned salt, paprika, and turmeric together in a bowl. Add chicken wings; thoroughly massage marinade into the chicken. Transfer chicken and marinade into a 14x8-inch aluminum baking container. Season with garlic salt. Cover the pan with aluminum foil.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 50 minutes. Remove the foil and continue baking until crisp and no longer pink in the centers, about 50 minutes more.

These are my husband's favorite kind of wings. Easy to make and delicious. They taste even better if you double the sauce and marinate for 24 hours.

5 tablespoons soy sauce
¼ cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons dry sherry
1 teaspoon prepared yellow mustard
½ teaspoon garlic powder
24 chicken wings

Steps:

  • Whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, sherry, mustard, and garlic powder in a bowl. Arrange the chicken wings in a 9x13-inch baking dish, and pour marinade over the chicken. Cover the baking dish with plastic wrap, and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  • Preheat an oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Remove the plastic wrap from the baking dish.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until the chicken wings are no longer pink in the center, about 1 hour, basting occasionally.

1 kg chicken wings
1/2 cup honey
2 tablespoons soy sauce
3 tablespoons oyster sauce
3 drops sesame oil
1 tablespoon grated ginger
4 tablespoons tomato sauce (ketchup)
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 cloves crushed garlic

Steps:

  • Cut tips off the chicken wings and discard.
  • Separate the drumette from the wingette and put aside.
  • If you prefer you can just leave wings as they are.
  • In a large bowl mix together all the other ingredients until smooth making sure all the honey is mixed in well.
  • Add wings to the marinade and place in the fridge for about 20 minutes before cooking.
  • Wings don't need to be marinated for very long.
  • Cook on a BBQ or place in a moderate oven, about 180 degrees celcius until caramalized and golden.
  • About 40 minutes.

20 chicken wings (about 4 pounds)
1 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
1/4 cup white wine or reduced-sodium chicken broth
1/4 cup canola oil
3 tablespoons sugar
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon ground ginger

Steps:

  • Cut chicken wings into three sections; discard wing tips. Place in a large resealable plastic bag. In a small bowl, whisk remaining ingredients until blended. Add to chicken; seal bag and turn to coat. Refrigerate overnight., Transfer chicken and marinade to a 5-qt. slow cooker. Cook, covered, on low 3-4 hours or until chicken is tender. Using tongs, remove wings to a serving plate.

24 fresh chicken wings (mix upper and bottom part)
1/4 cup of white vinegar
1/4 cup of soya sauce
1/2 cup of soda (Coke)
1 tablespoon of honey
1 tablespoon of brown sugar
2 cloves of garlic minced
1 teaspoon of onion salt

Steps:

  • Place the wings and all the other ingredients in a plastic resealable bag.
  • Remove the air from the bag.
  • With your hands rub the marinade on the wings making sure they are all covered.
  • Marinate for 1 to 3 hours.
  • Heat your grill.
  • When your grill is hot, turn the burners down to low and place the wings on the grill.
  • Cook for 15 to 20 minutes, or until fully cooked turning the wings often.

This is my mother-in-law's recipe. I am always asking her to make it when we visit. I have made these for buffet get-togethers and serve them from a crock pot to keep them warm. I usually double the recipe. Overnight marinating time is not included in prep time.
