CHOCOLATE SYRUP CAKE
For a moist, delicious dessert, try this chocolate cake recipe that makes a sensational presentation drizzled with chocolate buttercream frosting.

- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Grease and flour a 10-inch fluted tube pan; set aside. In bowl stir together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and 1/4 teaspoon salt; set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl beat sugar and oil with an electric mixer on medium to high speed for 1 minute or until evenly moistened. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition; beat until smooth. Alternately beat in flour mixture and buttermilk. Add the 2/3 cup chocolate syrup and vanilla; beat well. Pour into pan. Bake 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 hours or until a wooden toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool on wire rack 15 minutes. Remove from pan; cool completely on rack. Transfer cake to platter; drizzle with Chocolate-Buttercream. Just before serving, drizzle 2 tablespoons syrup around top edge. Makes 12 to 16 servings. Chocolate Buttercream Drizzle
- In large mixing bowl beat butter on medium speed for 30 seconds. Add 1/2 cup powdered sugar; beat well. Beat in chocolate syrup and vanilla. Beat in 3/4 cup powdered sugar. If necessary, stir in milk until mixture drapes.

Steps:
- Combine sweet rice flour, sugar, and water in a mixing bowl.
- Cover and microwave for 3 ½ minutes. Stir to make sure everything is well combined. Cover and microwave for another 30 seconds. Stir until the mochi batter gets really stick.
- If your waffle iron has settings, aim for medium heat. Spoon mochi batter into your waffle iron. Don't add too much, the mochi batter melts and expands quite a bit. Leave the mochi batter in the waffle iron for about 4-5 minutes.
- Remove the mochi waffle and let it cool, it will crisp up as it cools.
- Add ice cream, whipped cream, chocolate syrup, raspberries or whatever else you like.
- Enjoy!

- Make around 35ml espresso using a coffee machine and pour into the base of your cup. Add the drinking chocolate and mix well until smooth.
- Steam the milk with the steamer attachment so that it has around 4-6cm of foam on top. Hold the jug so that the spout is about 3-4cm above the cup and pour the milk in steadily. As the volume within the cup increases, bring the jug as close to the surface of the drink as possible whilst aiming into the centre. Once the milk jug is almost touching the surface of the coffee, tilt to speed up the rate of pour. As you accelerate, the milk will hit the back of the cup and start naturally folding in on itself to create a pattern on the top.
