PEPPERMINT HOT CHOCOLATE

Steps:

• In a saucepan, combine the cream, milk, sugar, and salt and heat over medium-low heat. When the cream mixture just begins to steam, add the chopped chocolate, and stir, until melted. Stir in the peppermint oil. Divide the hot chocolate among mugs and top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.

PEPPERMINT HOT CHOCOLATE

Steps:

• Place cocoa in a medium saucepan. Gradually whisk in milk until cocoa has dissolved. Add chocolate chips and crushed peppermint; simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until chocolate and peppermint have melted, 8 to 10 minutes.
• Bring to a boil and immediately remove from heat. Add salt. Ladle into mugs; serve each with a peppermint stick.

FAVORITE MINT HOT CHOCOLATE

Steps:

• Brush both sides of mint leaves with melted chocolate. Place on a waxed paper-lined baking sheet; refrigerate until set., In a small bowl, beat cream until it begins to thicken. Add sugar and extract; beat until soft peaks form. Refrigerate until serving., In a large saucepan, heat milk and cream over medium heat just to simmering (do not boil). Remove from heat; add mint. Whisk in chocolate chips until melted; return to heat and heat through., If desired, pour hot chocolate through a strainer to remove mint leaves. Top servings with whipped cream and chocolate leaves.

MIDNIGHT MINT HOT CHOCOLATE

Steps:

• Whip the cream in a small bowl then stir in the icing sugar and a few drops of peppermint extract. Place in the fridge until needed.
• Pour the milk into a saucepan and heat gently until simmering, stirring frequently. Take off the heat then add the chocolate. Stir until the chocolate has completely melted and the mixture is smooth. Return to the heat until warm then add the crème de menthe and pour into a mug.
• Top with a dollop of the whipped mint cream and chocolate curls or sprinkles just before serving.

ADULT HOT CHOCOLATE

Steps:

• Pour schnapps into warm mug.
• Add hot chocolate.
• Top with whipped cream if desired.

EASY MINT HOT CHOCOLATE

Steps:

• In a small saucepan, melt the mints over low heat. Slowly whisk in chocolate milk until well blended; heat but do not boil. Pour into mugs; top with mini marshmallows if desired.

ALPINE MINT HOT CHOCOLATE

Steps:

• In chilled small bowl, mix whipping cream, powdered sugar, cocoa and 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract with electric mixer on high speed until stiff peaks form. Cover and refrigerate until serving time.
• In 2-quart saucepan, heat milk just to simmering over medium-low heat - do not boil. Reduce heat to low. Add baking chips; stir constantly with wire whisk until melted and smooth. Stir in 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract.
• Pour hot chocolate into cups or mugs. Top each serving with whipped cream. Garnish with candy cane for stirring, or sprinkle with crushed candies
• TIP:.
• Melt white vanilla baking chips carefully. They burn easily, so be sure to cook over low heat, and stir constantly.
• VARIATION:.
• Use 1/3 cup peppermint schnapps for the 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract in the hot chocolate to make a delicious adult drink.

Steps:

• Prepare one packet of hot cocoa mix (for extra richness, substitute whole milk for water).
• Dissolve an Andes mint in the cocoa, stirring well with the mini candy cane.
• Garnish with whipped cream and enjoy!

MINTY EGGNOG HOT CHOCOLATE

Steps:

• Heat milk and eggnog together in a saucepan over medium-low heat until heated through, about 5 minutes. Stir in chocolate and mint-chocolate baking pieces; cook until chocolate is melted and smooth, 5 to 10 more minutes. Pour into 2 mugs.
