Steps:
- Brown 1/2 pound sausage in a skillet with 1/4 cup chopped onion and 1 each diced celery stalk and carrot. Add 1/2 cup mashed potatoes, and salt and pepper. Roll out a can of refrigerated biscuit dough and cut into twelve 3-inch rounds. Top each with a spoonful of meat filling and fold in half; pinch to seal and brush with a beaten egg. Make slits in the top and bake at 350 degrees F until golden, about 15 minutes.
MEAT LOAF PIE
Great way to have the favorite meal of meat loaf and mashed potatoes in one. This is great for the kids. Serve with green beans.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook and stir the ground beef and onion until beef is evenly brown. Drain, and allow to cool slightly.
- In a bowl, mix the cooked beef and onion, egg, ketchup, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Spread the corn in the bottom of the pie crust. Layer with the beef mixture. Spoon the mashed potatoes over the beef, and top with cheese.
- Bake 30 minutes in the preheated oven, until cheese is bubbly and lightly browned.

- In a large bowl, combine the first seven ingredients. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well. Press onto the bottom and up the sides of an ungreased deep-dish 9-in. pie plate. , Bake at 350° for 35-40 minutes or until meat is no longer pink. Meanwhile, prepare mashed potatoes according to package directions; stir in mustard. , Drain meat loaf; spread potatoes over top. Sprinkle with cheese. MEAT PIE WITH MASHED POTATOES

- Peel and boil the potatoes in salted water until done. Drain, mash them, and stir in the butter and milk. Season with salt and beat well.
- For the filling, fry the onions in 3 1/2 tablespoons of the oil, stirring occasionally. Start on very low heat with a lid on until they are soft, then let them color with the lid off. Add the ground meat, salt, pepper, cinnamon, and allspice, and cook, crushing and turning the meat over, for 10 minutes. If you like, strain off the fat.
- Heat the pine nuts in about 1/2 tablespoon of oil in a skillet, shaking the pan to brown them lightly all over, then stir them into the meat mixture. If you like, stir in the raisins.
- Spread a layer of meat filling at the bottom of a large baking dish (about 14 1/2 by 10 1/2 inches), cover with a layer of mashed potatoes, and press down to flatten. Bake in a preheated 400°F oven for 30 minutes, or until lightly browned.

Revamped from another recipe for my meat and potatoes guy. No veggies here but feel free to add them if you like! I serve the veggies on the side (picky dh) With or without this a is very yummy and well seasoned savory pie! I use turkey but any ground meat can be used.

Steps:
- Saute meat and onion in oil until no longer pink. Drain grease.
- Add potatoes and seasonings and mix well.
- Line pie pan with one crust and fill with meat mix.
- Top with second crust and pinch to seal.
- Cut slits in top of crust to vent.
- Brush crust with beaten egg and place filled pie pan on cookie sheet to catch any drips.
- Bake at 375F for 30-35 minutes until crust is browned.
- Note: Updated after review.
- If you prefer a more moist pie add some milk or cream to your mashed potatoes before adding to the filling. You could also tear a piece of bread or two and soak them in milk or broth and then add them to the meat mixture.

- Heat oven to 325ºF. Have a shallow 3 quart baking dish ready.
- Coat meat with flour, shaking off excess. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Brown meat in 2 to 3 batches, adding more oil as needed. Remove to baking dish with a slotted spoon.
- Add carrots and onions to dish. Mix wine, garlic, salt and herbs. Add and stir to distribute. Cover tightly with lid or foil.
- Bake 2 hours or until meat and vegetables are tender. (If making ahead, refrigerate stew and mashed potatoes separately up to 3 days.).
- To serve: (If made ahead, reheat stew, covered, in 375ºF oven 40 to 45 minutes until hot and bubbling). Increase oven temperature to 425ºF. Spoon mashed potatoes on stew and sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Bake 10 to 15 minutes longer until edges of potatoes are golden brown.

- Bake the potato until done, 30 - 45 minutes in a preheated 400 degrees F (205 degrees C) oven. Peel and mash the potato.
- Place the potato, ground pork, onion, spices and water in a large frying pan and simmer until very thick, for about one hour.
- Meanwhile, prepare your pastry.
- Line a deep-dish pie plate with pastry. Spoon in filling, spreading evenly. Cover with top crust.
