Meat Patties - Meat stuffed Puff Pastry image

These meat patties are an absolute treat and make perfect appetizers to serve for breakfast, brunch, or snacks. Puff pastry filled with ground beef then baked until golden. You can make these ahead of time or freeze them for later.

1 sheet Puff pastry
1/2 lb Ground meat (beef, turkey or chicken thighs)
1 tbsp Cooking oil
1/2 Onion (chopped fine)
1 tsp Garlic (minced)
1 tsp Ginger (grated)
1/2 tsp Cinnamon powder
1/2 tsp Cumin powder
1/4 tsp Paprika powder
1/4 cup Cilantro / parsley (chopped)
1 tbsp Lemon juice
1/2 tsp Salt ((or to taste))
1/2 tsp Pepper
1 Egg (beaten )

Steps:

  • Thaw frozen puff pastry but keep it chilled at all times.Tip - I fine opening up the puff pastry sheet on a baking tray and letting it chill is the best way to work with it.

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 finely chopped onion
2 garlic cloves, chopped
20 g butter
750 g ground beef
3 teaspoons parsley
3 teaspoons flour
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
3 teaspoons ketchup

Steps:

  • Saute onion and garlic in butter until the onion is soft.
  • Mix the onion/garlic/butter with the ground beef and other ingredients.
  • Fill 6 rectangles of puff pastry with meat filling.
  • Seal shut with beaten egg, place on cookie sheet.
  • Bake in 400 degree oven 15 minutes, lower heat to 350 and bake 15 minutes longer.
