ONE PAN KIELBASA WITH APPLES
One Pan Kielbasa with Apples is a perfect, 20 minute, fall dinner recipe! This dish features savory sausage, sweet apples, red onions, and a simple maple sauce!

Steps:
- Heat the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the sausage to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally until starting to become golden.
- Add the sliced apples and onion to the skillet and cook, stirring occasionally for 5-6 minutes until softened.
- Season with the thyme, sage, salt & pepper.
- Meanwhile, whisk together the broth, syrup, garlic and mustard.
- Pour the sauce into the skillet, stir, reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 5 minutes until apples are soft.

A warm comfort food my mom used to make all the time in the winter! The sweet taste from the apple cider and maple syrup perfectly compliment the salty meat flavor of the sausage. A favorite in our family and hopefully soon in yours!

- Heat saucepan on stove on medium heat. In a bowl, combine in this order: syrup, brown sugar, apple cider, and water. Whisk until smooth consistency and pour into saucepan for 5-7 minutes, stirring often. (Be sure not to bring mixture to a boil). In a medium skillet, bring to medium-high heat and add oil. Next, add slices of kielbasa and fry until just golden brown and hot. Drain any excess oil. Remove saucepan with syrup mixture and gradually pour over kielbasa in skillet being careful not to splatter. Simmer for about 8 minutes or until syrup adds a nice "glaze." Cooking too long can burn the syrup and cause a poor glaze. Toss in crumbled pieces of bacon and remove from heat. Let sit for 1-2 minutes before serving. Serve with your favorite rice or sweet potatoes and a vegetable.

- Preheat oven to 450°F.
- Toss potatoes, oil, salt and pepper in a large bowl until coated. Spread out in a large heavy roasting pan. Roast 10 minutes. While potatoes roast, stir sausage, apples mustard, maple syrup and vinegar together in the bowl.
- Reduce oven temperature to 375°F. Remove roasting pan from the oven. Scrape potatoes up from the pan with a spatula. Add sausage, apples and the mustard mixture to the potatoes and toss to combine. Return to the oven and bake, stirring once or twice until the potatoes and apples are tender and the glaze is caramelized, 45 to 50 minutes.
