My new favorite drink is Ocean Spray's White Cranberry Peach. I have been looking everywhere for recipes, and decided to post them here so I won't loose them. From Ocean Spray.

6 ounces ocean spray white cranberry-peach juice (about 3/4 of a cup)
1/4 banana, cut into 1/2-inch slices
1/4 cup vanilla yogurt
1/2 cup crushed ice

Steps:

  • Put all ingredients in a blender.
  • Blend for a few seconds on high speed or until ingredients are.
  • thoroughly combined.
  • Pour into a glass.
  • Makes 1 12-ounce serving.

1 large banana, frozen and broken into roughly 1-inch chunks
1 small ripe kiwi fruit, peeled (great way to use up mushy kiwis!)
1/2 cup canned peaches in juice, drained (see below)

Steps:

  • Combine in the food processor (or blender, but requires a lot more stirring) and blend till creamy. Serve immediately.
  • If you prefer a thinner smoothie, add some peach juice. To let it thicken a bit with extra freeziness (mmmm), put it in the freezer for 10-15 minutes or so. I like it sprinkled with ground flaxseed!
  • Note: this is also wonderful with a small, very ripe FRESH peach! Just cut away the flesh, skin and all, and instead of being yellowy-green from the kiwi, your smoothie will have a wonderful pink hue!

This is my new favorite smoothie! The kids and I usually have a smoothie with lunch and this has been a hit for the past few weeks. I will say that it tastes different each time, probably depending on how ripe and sweet the peach is...and of course, how much sweetener is added! I find that the ripest (softest...without being bruised and damaged) peaches make the best tasting smoothies!!!

1 banana
1 peach, seed removed
1 cup fresh strawberries or 1 cup frozen strawberries
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons flax seeds, ground
1 tablespoon Agave or 1 tablespoon sugar
water, to fill blender to 4 cups

Steps:

  • Add banana, peach (with or without skin -- lots of nutrients in the skin!), strawberries into the blender. Add milk, flaxseed and sweetener.
  • Fill blender with water until the liquid level reaches 4 cups. Don't have markings -- add about 2 cups of water.
  • Blend on low for 30 seconds, then blend on high for 30 seconds, or until smooth and creamy!
  • Drink immediately!
  • Makes 4 (8 ounce) glasses.

1/2 cup sliced peach (I would use canned & drained unless yours are really ripe because this drink can be tart)
1/3 cup vanilla yogurt
1/2 cup crushed ice

Steps:

  • Put all ingredients in a blender.
  • Blend for a few seconds on high speed or until ingredients are.
  • thoroughly combined. You may want to taste to see if it is sweet enough for your liking at this point. I had to add a bit of sugar to mine because it was a bit tart.
  • Pour into a glass.
  • Makes 1 11-ounce serving.
