LOADED CHEESEBURGER MACARONI
Steps:
- In 12-inch skillet, brown beef, onion and garlic over medium-high heat, stirring frequently, until thoroughly cooked; drain.
- Stir in hot water, milk, sauce mix and uncooked pasta (from Hamburger Helper box), tomatoes, relish and mustard. Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally.
- Reduce heat; cover and simmer about 12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender.

HOMEMADE CHEESEBURGER MACARONI
Steps:
- In a large cast iron pan or skillet, add ground beef, onions and garlic. Cook until no longer pink and onions are translucent. Drain, return to pan.
- Sprinkle seasonings, salt and pepper, red pepper flakes, over meat followed by hot sauce, tomato paste and flour. Stir.
- Pour milk and beef broth into pan, stir.
- Add macaroni noodles, stir and bring to a boil.
- Cover, reduce heat to low and cook for 10 minutes or until pasta is tender.
- Sprinkle with cheese, stir until melted, then add sour cream, stir and enjoy.
CHEESEBURGER MACARONI
This is a recipe I found, lost and found again. I got it off a can of stewed tomatoes. DH really likes it. It's simple and a one pot meal. I had to be out of town for a couple of weeks and he made it twice. Posting it here for safe keeping. Feel free to add more spices, green peppers, garlic, etc. The original recipe does not even call for salt and pepper and I always add more cheese.

- Brown beef and onion in large skillet; drain. Salt and pepper to taste. Add undrained tomatoes and one cup water; bring to boil. Stir in macaroni. Bring to boil; reduce heat. Simmer, covered, ten minutes or until macaroni is done, stirring once. Sprinkle cheese evenly over top, cover until cheese is melted.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook elbow macaroni in the boiling water, stirring occasionally until cooked through but firm to the bite, 8 minutes. Drain.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir beef in the hot skillet until browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes; drain and discard grease. Add ground beef back to skillet and mix in tomatoes; season with salt and pepper. Cook and stir mixture until tomatoes are heated through, about 5 minutes.
- Transfer beef mixture to a casserole dish; top with cooked macaroni. Spread cream cheese over macaroni and sprinkle Cheddar cheese over cream cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven until cheese is melted and bubbling, about 45 minutes. Cool casserole for 15 minutes before serving.

CHEATING CHEESEBURGER MACARONI
This is one of those happy accidents that happened when I had to make up dinner from what I had in the cabinet. It serves a whole family and the kids love it. I used a mixture of what was left in the bottom of the pasta boxes for the pasta. Any short pasta will work. Try adding broccoli, peas or carrots as a variation.

Add the garlic and saute until fragrant, about 1 minute. Drain off any excess fat, then season the beef to taste with salt and pepper.
- Stir in the beef broth, canned tomatoes, and ketchup. Turn the heat up to high and bring to a boil. Add the macaroni noodles and cook for 7-8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until liquid is absorbed and noodles are al dente.
- Lower the heat, then stir in the mustard, milk, and 2 cups of shredded cheese until melted and creamy. Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top then broil for 3-4 minutes or until browned and melty. (optional)
