Steps:
- Using a vegetable peeler, remove the peel from the lemons in long strips (reserve the lemons for another use). Using a small sharp knife, trim away the white pith from the lemon peels; discard the pith. Place the lemon peels in a 2-quart pitcher. Pour the vodka over the peels and cover with plastic wrap. Steep the lemon peels in the vodka for 4 days at room temperature.
- Stir the water and sugar in a large saucepan over medium heat until the sugar dissolves, about 5 minutes. Cool completely. Pour the sugar syrup over the vodka mixture. Cover and let stand at room temperature overnight. Strain the limoncello through a mesh strainer. Discard the peels. Transfer the limoncello to bottles. Seal the bottles and refrigerate until cold, at least 4 hours and up to 1 month.

Pour 1 oz of limoncello liqueur (like Pallini, Villa Massa, or Caravella), sweet and sour mix, and extra-dry vermouth, each, with ½ oz of each of vodka and green olive brine, and finally, and 1 tsp of lemon juice in a shaker, and shake vigorously for 20-30 seconds.
- 2-ingredient Limoncello-Prosecco Float Cocktail. Fill a martini glass with a ¼ cup of limoncello. It must be absolutely chilled since you can’t add ice cubes to this cocktail.

- Limoncello Olive Garden Blended-Cocktail. You need your mixer-grinder to make a slushy mixture with 1 cup of ice, 1 oz of each of citrus vodka and limoncello, 4 oz of lemonade and ¼ oz homemade lemon-and-sugar syrup (you can easily make it by simmering together ¼ cup of water and sugar, each, along with 4 tsp of fresh lemon juice, until reduced to half).
- Fruity-Party Limoncello Summer Sangria. In a pan, mix ½ cup granulated sugar and ¼ cup water and simmer over medium flame until the sugar dissolves. Transfer the mixture to a pitcher.
- Strawberry Martini Digestif-Dessert Red Cooler. Mix 1½ oz of limoncello, vanilla vodka and chilled strawberry juice, each, along with ¼ oz Carlo Rossi sangria.
- Standard Hot Tea-Drink Using Limoncello. Either use 1 bag of any flavored tea (like cranberry/raspberry/strawberry/pomegranate) in 1 glass of boiling water, added with 1 tsp of honey, or else, use any of those fruit syrups in 1 cup of normal black tea liquor (without the honey).
- Simple Fruity Soiree Creamy-Cocktail. Simply shake ¾ oz of each of limoncello, pomegranate juice, orange juice, and pineapple juice, along with 1 tbsp of sour cream, 1 oz of Ole Smoky Blackberry Moonshine and 3½ oz champagne.

10 LIMONCELLO COCKTAILS FEATURING THE CITRUS LIQUEUR
From thespruceeats.com
- Easy Bourbon Tea. Use limoncello to put the "sweet" in your summer tea. This bourbon tea recipe is delightfully simple, requiring nothing more than bourbon, limoncello, and iced tea.
- In & Out Lemontini. The in and out lemontini is one of the best ways to enjoy limoncello and your favorite vodka at the same time. This recipe simply rinses a cocktail glass with the sweet liqueur, then adds shaken vodka, leaving you with an incredibly quick citrus-kissed vodka martini.
- Tuscan Pear. When you're ready for an adventure in flavor, the Tuscan pear is a great choice. This cocktail recipe begins with pear vodka, limoncello, and orange juice then adds a fabulous ginger snap.
- Lemon Cake. The lemon cake recipe is one of those dessert cocktails that limoncello is famous for, and it's effortless. All you need is a bottle of RumChata and one of limoncello.
- Good Luck Charm. An intriguing bourbon cocktail, this one is for the truly dedicated lemon lover. The good luck charm puts a very flavorful whiskey against both limoncello and lemon sour (a lemon-only version of sour mix).
- Devil's Punch. The devil's punch brings limoncello into the world of tequila. It's similar to the margarita, using the lemon liqueur to add a tantalizing twist to the mix of tequila, orange liqueur, and sour mix.
- Honey Citrus Drop Shooter. The honey citrus drop shooter is one of the few recipes that call for a lemon liqueur. In these, limoncello is often your best choice because there are not many other options.
- Lavender Lemon Drop. The lavender lemon drop is a perfect example of where you can use limoncello as a substitute. The floral vodka martini typically uses lemon juice and simple syrup, but you can pour 1 1/4 ounces of limoncello instead.
- Sparkling Shamrock. The bright taste of limoncello is ideal for softly flavored spring cocktails. A fine place to use it is with the fruity, floral freshness of the sparkling shamrock.
- Vodka Collins. Give the vodka collins a limoncello twist for a bright, refreshing highball. Again, pour a shot of limoncello along with the vodka, and skip the lemon juice and syrup.
