Green Tea Jello image

Here is a good way to enjoy jello without the processed sugar, all while enjoying the benefits of green tea. A little lemon juice adds a nice tart contrast and the raspberries really round it this refreshing treat.

Number Of Ingredients 6

5 tablespoons loose leaf green tea
5 cups filtered water
½ cup un-pasteurized honey
2 pouches Knox unflavoured gelatine
¼ cup lemon juice
1 cup raspberries

Steps:

  • Boil 4 ½ cups of water and then let it sit for 5 minutes. After sitting, add the green tea and brew for 4 minutes. While brewing add the honey.
  • While the tea is brewing, stir the gelatine into ½ cup of cold water in a separate mixing bowl. Add ½ cup of the hot tea to the gelatine mixture while whisking and continue whisking gently until the gelatine is completely dissolved.
  • Stir the dissolved gelatine mixture into the hot green tea and then add the lemon juice. Stir well.
  • Pour the jello mixture into a small casserole dish and then evenly disperse the raspberries throughout.
  • Transfer to the fridge and chill to set. About 1 hour. Once set, cut into cubes or simply scoop and serve.

COPYCAT GREEN TEA LEMON DRINK

Copycat Green Tea Lemon Drink image

This is my version of Lipton's Diet Lemon Green Tea drink, without all that sodium!!! I always seem to have a drink going and I really hate drinking plain water, so I figure I might as well get some extra benefits by drinking green tea with all those wonderful oxidents. I have to watch my sugar intake, so I purposely made it low in sugar...but this can be flavored to personal preference. I literally make a jug of this each day and go through the whole thing. Serve this hot or cold

DIET GREEN TEA LEMON JELLO

Diet Green Tea Lemon Jello image

I'm dieting, ugh, and for a treat I've been having Sugar Free Jello. After reading about green tea and how it is supposed to boost your metabolism I thought I'd try to incorporate tea into my diet. Who knows if it works? This is one tasty idea I've had. If you like strong tea then steep the bag longer or use 2 tea bags. I also divvy it into serving sizes using custard cups, but any small vessel will do, I've used coffee cups, too. Cook time is chill time.

BASIC TEA JELLY

Basic Tea Jelly image

I was intrigued by the idea of making jelly out of tea when someone posted a request for recipes. I tried this one, and I like it alot. Obviously, it all depends on the quality of your tea. So far I've only tried this with a very high quality organic chai, and it is SO good! If you find a type of tea that works really well for this, post a review and let us know!
