LEMON CREAM CHEESE BARS
Lemon Cream Cheese Bars with a lemon cake mix crust, a vanilla cream cheese filling and a lemon cream cheese topping. Simple and delicious layered lemon bar recipe!

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350°. Line 9X13 pan with parchment paper.
- Crust: In a large bowl, stir together the cake mix, melted butter and egg. Press firmly into prepared pan.
- Filling: Stir together the frosting and softened cream cheese. Add the egg and stir, but don't beat, until smooth. Pour cream cheese mixture over cake mix mixture and spread to the edges.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until edges are slightly browned and set. The middle should still be slightly jiggly. The filling will set more as it cools. Let pan cool to room temperature.
- Topping: Beat all topping ingredients together in a bowl with an electric mixer. Carefully spread the topping over the cooled cream cheese layer. Chill for at least 2 hours before lifting the bars from the pan and slicing into squares.
LEMON CREAM CHEESE BARS
My uncle requests these bars every time he comes to visit. My mom always bakes enough so he can have his own batch to take back home with him. We love anything with cream cheese and these bars are wonderful and addicting, it has quickly become a favorite recipe in our family.

- Mix dry cake mix, 1 egg and 1/3 cup vegetable oil until crumbly.
- Reserve 1 cup of crumb mixture to use as a crumb topping.
- Pat remaining mixture lightly in an ungreased 13x9 pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minute.
- By hand whip, cream cheese, sugar, lemon juice and the remaining egg until light and smooth.
- Spread over baked layer in pan, sprinkle with reserved crumb topping mixture.
- Bake for an additional 15 minutes, then cool before serving.

- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Prepare a 9x13-inch baking dish by lining with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the long sides. Unroll one crescent dough sheet and press onto bottom of the baking dish to form a bottom crust that reaches all sides.
- In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat cream cheese, lemon juice, 1-1/2 teaspoons lemon zest, and 1/2 cup sugar until smooth and creamy. Spread evenly over the crescent dough on bottom of baking dish.
- Unroll second crescent dough sheet and place on top of the cream cheese mixture, stretching to reach the edges of the baking dish. Brush with melted butter. Combine remaining sugar and remaining lemon zest, then sprinkle over top crust.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until crust is golden brown. Cool on a wire rack for 20 minutes, then place in the fridge for at least 1 hour to set. When ready to serve, use the parchment paper edges to transfer the dessert from the baking dish to a cutting board. Cut into bars.

- Combine cake mix, butter, and egg. Mix with fork until moistened.
- Set aside 1 cup of mix.
