- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium flame. Add rosemary, thyme, garlic powder, parsley, salt, and, black pepper.
- Now add worcestershire sauce to it and cook for around 1 minute.
- Add beef dripping to it.
- Mix the sauce with dijon mustard and give it a little whisk so all the flavors will get mixed with each other.
- Your zip sauce is ready to serve.

Mix in the mustard, black pepper, Worcestershire sauce, cumin, and cayenne pepper. Warm gently for about a minute. Mix equal parts of the sauce with beef steak drippings to complete the sauce just before serving.

This is the real deal. I don't know where the other people get their recipes from but the REAL Zip Sauce doesn't have all those herbs. My father-in-law used to play poker with the owner of one of the famous steakhouses in Detroit that served this sauce and one night he divulged the recipe to him. Here it is!!

- *Note: I usually throw the ingredients in a small container and heat it in the microwave for 1 minute. It's not how the original was written, but it's just so so much easier:)!

- Combine the first 4 ingredients and stir into the butter that has been melted in a saucepan without letting it change color or getting brown. Then add everything else and warm gently a minute or so. Refrigerate tightly capped to use within a few weeks.
- To use: stir about 1/4 cup of this prepared sauce into about 1/4 cup of the steak drippings.
- (Makes about 2/3 cup).
