1 package (7 ounces) angel hair pasta
4 plum tomatoes, seeded and chopped
1 cup thinly sliced carrots
1 medium cucumber, chopped
6 green onions, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper

Steps:

  • Cook pasta according to package directions; drain and rinse in cold water. Place in a large bowl; add the tomatoes, carrots, cucumber and onions. , In a small bowl, whisk together the oil, vinegar, salt and pepper. Pour over pasta mixture and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 4 hours.

1 pound angel hair pasta
1/2 cup Chili Oil, recipe follows
1/2 cup chopped fresh Italian parsley leaves
1 lemon, juiced
2 tablespoons lemon zest
Coarse sea salt
Dried crushed red pepper flakes
1/2 teaspoon grated lemon peel, optional
2/3 cup freshly grated Parmesan
2 cups olive oil
4 teaspoons dried crushed red pepper flakes

Steps:

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the angel hair pasta and cook until tender but still firm to the bite, stirring occasionally, about 6 to 8 minutes. Drain, reserving 1 cup of the pasta water.
  • Stir the oil, parsley, lemon juice and lemon peel in a large serving bowl. Add the cooked pasta and toss with enough reserved pasta water, 1/4 cup at a time, to moisten. Season the pasta with salt and red pepper flakes, to taste. Sprinkle grated lemon peel over pasta for extra flavor and texture. Sprinkle with the Parmesan and serve.
  • Combine the oil and crushed red pepper flakes in a heavy small saucepan. Cook over low heat until a thermometer inserted into the oil registers 180 degrees F, about 5 minutes.
  • Remove from heat. Cool to room temperature, about 2 hours. Transfer the oil and pepper flakes to a 4-ounce bottle. Seal the lid. Refrigerate up to 1 month.
  • Yield: 2 cups
  • Prep Time: 2 minutes
  • Cook Time: 5 minutes
  • Inactive Prep Time: 2 hours

1 head lettuce
1 (12 ounce) package cherry tomatoes (or grape)
1/2 lb sliced deli meat
7 ounces angel hair pasta, cooked drained, and slightly oily (so as not to clump together)
crouton, any flavor
1 tablespoon yellow mustard
1 cup hellman's light mayonnaise
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup vinegar
1/4 cup water
3 -4 crushed garlic cloves

Steps:

  • Layer the bottom of a clear trifle bowl with bite-sized pieces of crisp lettuce. and grape tomatoes. Place cooked and drained cold pasta on top of lettuce. Roll each deli slice individually and place side down around the inside of the bowl. Layer the croutons on top. Pour dressing over entire salad just prior to serving. Enjoy!

2 tablespoons olive oil
1 lemon, zested
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
Parmesan, for garnish

Steps:

  • Cook the angel hair according to the package instructions. When the pasta is nearly done, heat the olive oil in a large saute pan over medium heat and add the lemon zest, salt, and pepper and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Drain the pasta, reserving 1/4 cup cooking water, if needed. Remove the infused oil from the heat, add the pasta, and toss to coat, adding pasta cooking water, if needed. Grate just a hint of Parmesan on the pasta before serving.

1/4 c. extra virgin olive oil
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. kosher salt
1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes

Steps:

  • 1. In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook angel hair according to package directions until al dente. Drain, then transfer to a large serving bowl.
  • 2. Add salami, olives, roasted red pepper, green pepper, and mozzarella to bowl. In a glass jar, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and crushed red pepper flakes. Toss with pasta salad and serve.

1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
2 tablespoons chopped pimentos
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon white wine vinegar

1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil
1 tablespoon chopped fresh oregano
¼ teaspoon garlic powder

2 tablespoons oil
1 cup slivered almonds
1/4 cup sesame seeds
1/3 cup olive oil
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon salt

1 small red cabbage, shredded
6 scallions, chopped
1 (8 ounce) can water chestnuts, drained

Steps:

  • Cook pasta according to package directions, drain and set aside.

1 tablespoon Lawry's Seasoned Salt
1 tablespoon Accent seasoning
4 tablespoons salad oil (vegetable oil)
1 1/2 teaspoons lemon juice
1 cup mayonnaise (not Miracle Whip!!!)
1 cup chopped green pepper
1/2 cup chopped white onion
1 cup chopped celery
1/4 cup diced pimento (2 ounce jar)
3/4 cup sliced black olives
black pepper

Steps:

  • Chop/dice all vegetables and place in large bowl.
  • Mix remaining ingredients for the dressing in with the vegetables.
  • Boil angel hair pasta and drain very well.
  • Mix pasta in with vegetables and dressing.
  • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours prior to serving.

1 cup black olives, chopped
2 tablespoons extra light vegetable oil

4 spring onions, chopped fine with some of green part
1 teaspoon mayonnaise
1/4 cup water
salt, to taste
pepper, to taste
parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Cook pasta according to package directions.
  • Drain well and set aside to cool.
  • Mix salad oil, steak seasoning and lemon juice and pour over pasta along with olives.
  • Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  • Just before serving, add mayonnaise, water and onions.
  • Toss and serve with Parmesan on side.
  • NOTE: Cook time refers primarily to chill time.

  • Boil water for pasta. When water starts boiling, add a handful of rock salt (i.e. ice cream salt). Add pasta and cook until al dente, about 4 minutes. Drain pasta and place in serving bowl.
  • While pasta is boiling, saute garlic in olive oil until sizzling and lightly browned (don’t burn the garlic or it will taste bitter). Pour garlic and olive oil over warm pasta and toss. Sprinkle a teaspoon or so (to taste) of coarse salt over the noodles and add 1 cup of the parmesan cheese. Toss again. Let noodles cool slightly.
  • Right before serving, top noodles with diced tomatoes, pine nuts, torn basil and 1/2 cup of parmesan cheese. Very lightly toss, being careful not to let all the toppings go to the bottom. Serve.
