KOMBUCHA COCONUT OIL FACE CREAM
Got this recipe from a couple people on Facebook. I combined them and wanted to save it to try. Size of batch depends on size of your scoby. I would recommend a size of one that would fit in a quart jar mouth.

Steps:
- If using coconut oil, melt and then allow to cool to the touch, so that you can blend the rest of the ingredients into it.
- Blend all ingredients in a blender or food processor, until applesauce consistency. Add enough tea to make it the right consistency.
- Cover face, avoiding eyes, and leave on for a few minutes.
- Wash off with warm water and a washcloth.
- Use once a night for drier skin, less often for oily skin.

COCONUT OIL HAND CREAM
Recipe found on frugalgranola.com. "(Inspired by the Coconut Oil Hand Cream recipe in How to Make Your Own Organic Cosmetics by Gill Farrer-Halls). Great for extra dry skin. Nice to rub on after washing dishes or digging in the yard." You can use other essential oil scents of your choice: rose geranium, orange, ylang ylang, jasmine, vetiver, etc. I tried rose geranium and added only five drops of it. The original recipe specified fifteen drops of *each* essential oil. That had to be a typo. Try this on your cuticles or feet! Ahhhh!

Steps:
- Fill the bottom of a double boiler with water and bring to the boil. In the top, combine the coconut oil, almond oil and beeswax. Allow to melt and stir to combine.
- Remove pot from the burner and stir in the essential oils.
- Pour into a heat proof container and allow to cool completely before closing.
- My notes: Once the mixture cooled, I placed the container of hand cream in the fridge to become firmer. *Please* note the hand cream will melt if exposed to heat. I put a small amount in a sample container, placed it in my purse and an hour later the cream was liquified. It solidified again at room temperature. Why did this surprise me? ;).
- Makes approximately 3 1/2 ounces.

CREAMY SMOOTH BODY AND HAND CREAM
Chef #248023 inspired me to make this after I made her Recipe #256951. Shea butter is known for its cosmetic properties as a moisturizer and emollient. As well as an anti-inflammatory agent. Shea butter can be effective at treating the following conditions: fading scars, eczema, burns, rashes, acne, severely dry skin, blemishes, dark spots, skin discolorations, chapped lips, stretchmarks, wrinkles and in lessening the irritation of psoriasis. Also provides natural UV sun protection but don't rely on it as a sunscreen because it filters out only little amounts of UV rays. Shea butter absorbs rapidly into the skin without leaving a greasy feeling. It can be bought on line.

Steps:
- Place lots of ice in a large bowl and place a metal bowl on the ice.
- Mix the ingredients together in the metal bowl.
- Sprinkle the cornstarch over the oils.
- Whip with an electric hand mixer (not a stand mixer) and continue to beat.
- Adding in the essential oils desired.
- Continue to beat until light, fluffy thick and cool.
- Place in a glass jar, store out of sunlight and use as needed.
